Natalie's POV

Ah, there's nothing quite like waking up to the fresh scent of blood. My mother used to affectionately call me her little vampire- if only she knew how true that was.

I must've slept right through Day 5- zombies were making agitating sounds outside.

"Shut up," I mumbled. I killed my annoying companions, only to receive even more annoying ones.

I came out of the cave and whacked a rotting corpse on the head. It crumpled in a heap. I dodged a flaming arrow from a skeleton before throwing my bloody dagger at it- I'd have to clean it before it rusted.

I took the skeleton's bones and made soup with them; when you're in a poor District you learn to make soup out of ANYTHING. Never try soup with worms- I speak from experience.

"Burn big cities down? No. Capture Celestia? Meh," I heard some strange stuff from outside.

"Who is it?" I asked gruffly. Helen entered my cave without taking off her shoes. How rude! "What do you want?" I rolled my eyes.

"Will you help me with CTW?" Helen asked.

"Is that a TV show?"

"Nah, it's Crazy Talking Walruses."

"Like you?"

"Well, I'm in it, and just to let you know, I am the almighty respected Craziest Walrus. Wanna help?"

I decided to play along. "Sure!"

"You have to contribute something that will help CTW though." Helen looked at me expectantly.

I pretended to think about it for a few seconds, then 'suggested',

"Here, I'll help teach you to swim! All walruses need to know how to swim! In really hot soup! With a really heavy pot too!"

I took my pot of soup and threw the pot over her head. She collapsed with the weight of the pot and suffered major burns. That death was probably about a 7 out of 10. My death line wasn't that great, but I had good technique, if I do say so myself. I should go to ring toss competitions more often. I would totally ace them all.

Unfortunately, I didn't have anymore soup, so I chopped Helen into teensy pieces to make a new soup. It wasn't that bad. Better than worms anyway. Now, I am both a qualified vampire, and a qualified cannibal as well. The Weird Villains/Monsters Society must love me.

Sunny's POV

Valerie isn't the worst company. She stays silent, and is very good at listening to me talk- she understands how brilliant I am. I mean, she actually took my suggestion to French braid her hair- she has even nicer hair than Celestia Snow for a French braid. Occasionally she bursts into song though... We'll have to work on that. Wait, what? I have to kill her soon.

I begin to pick some bright red berries that would look so pretty if they were braided into my hair...

Valerie's voice pulls me out of my thoughts, "Helen's dead too."

She's right. It's the night of day 6 and the recently killed tributes are being flashed on the screen.

"Do we win then?" I've already forgotten who's died.

"No, we still have Natalie left to kill," Valerie shuddered as if reliving a flashback.

"That'll be easy," I know I'm going to win. I'm not going to let some District 12 child get in my way. After Natalie, I'll kill Valerie.

"Don't underestimate Natalie- I've done it before. I can lead you to her if you'd like," I knew Valerie was going to useful for something. I'm slightly annoyed that she'd underestimate me though.

"That's a good idea," I replied. Then we lay there in silence.

Both of us are probably thinking about what's going to happen after Natalie's death, but neither of us speaks. It's easier to ignore the inevitable. I find that I've actually begun to think of Valerie as a friend. I've never had a friend before; everyone was either too frightened of me or too snobby to be friends with. I won't let Valerie get in the way though- I will be the victor.
