She sped down the long streets biting on her lip. Why was Kayla doing This, was she scared? i had to get to the bottom of this. And now when we were by ourselves was a good thing.
"Kay, what's wrong?" i asked.
"Um no-nothing I'm okay" She said.
"I know your lying, come on I'm not stuck on stupid." I said frankly.
"Can we go somewhere and talk about this?" she asked in a weak voice.
"Yeah, Just me and you" i said.
"Just me and you."
Eventually we got there. To a little cafe' I couldn't really see the words well enough to recite them. We got out of the car and went into the little modern place and grabbed a seat.
A puerto rican, girl with bushy eyebrows and hair that went a little beneath her shoulder came over to us.
"Hey Kayla, who's she?" The girl in a waitress uniform asked with a accent.
"This Is My sister. My long and lost sister." She said.
"Ohhhh Serenity? I think it was?" she said referring to me in a weird way.
This was weird. I assumed they had probably told the whole town about me already. Here i was. I have never even seen this girl before until now and she knew my name ? I REALLY regretted coming here now. i swear i did.
"Uhh Yeahh." Kayla said lowering her head.
"Aw she doesn't seem that bad. From looking at her she doesn't." Said the waitress. "By the way i'm Paola Rosado." she said with a smile.
Kayla looked at her with shock and anger in eyes. I knew this was a secret 'Paola' didn't know about. Hopefully now she understood. Me, of cause i was hurt by this.
I can't believe i actually contradicted myself and thought that they would'nt even mention my name. I guess i was wrong. Then i walked out of the cafe feeling hurt by all that had happened. It was too much to hold inside. Too much to be okay with.
I was going to show them a person who they wanted, and knew what i had to do. Was i willing to do this? Of course i was. I'd change their perspective of me with no problem
