A loud knock came on the door shaking me awake. Bayuse jumped at my alarm and stood up, instantly with alert. Samara growled and barked at the door, like she usually does before sitting down patiently to see who it was. I felt like I passed out for longer than felt when I realized I was still on the floor. There was a powerful stench of good food: pasta, sauces, meats. I looked over at the window and saw it went cloudy out. I slowly crawled to my feet but Mia beat me to the door. She opened it wide and there I saw Nathan. He spoke a couple words before then spotting me. His gaze fell to me and didn't leave me. I forced myself to my feet. It was discomforting to see such a gaze on me.

"He says he wants to speak to you." Mia told me.  I snatched leashes from a hook and attached them to the dogs collars while I angrily watched Nathan. He quickly got uncomfortable and looked away which I then tore my eyes away. Bayuse was particularly hard for me to handle with his thick layers of fur to attached the lease but I quickly got a hold of it. On the way out the door I snatched my parka for warmth. I threw the leashes into Nathan's hands to rid of the responsibility. I slipped the jacket on and slammed the door behind me. Samaya stuck herself into a seating position; her way of telling Nathan she hated him, which wasn't hard to show. He already knew how much she despite made him.

"Samaya move it." I grouched at her. She barked in response and then grumpily carried on. We excited the front lawn and then carried into the streets where it got a little busy it we stayed our distance from people so we had no eavesdropping visitors.

"So how is everything?"

"What do you want Nathan?" I questioned him in a unwelcoming tone. I ignored his question and got straight to the point, since that's where we were going anyways.

"I want to talk," he responded while the two dogs yanked him forward into a faster stride.

"Did you talk to my brother?" I questioned him. I looked straight at him and waited to see his response.

"No," his eyes didn't look up to me and the started to fidget, looking at different places quickly and biting on his lip. He was lying. I pushed him against the wall with my forearm pressed tightly into his chest. Everyone stopped and starred at us. I could hear the quiet mumbles and fearful whispers begin.

"Don't fucking lie to me, Nathan." I hissed at him in a low growl. "I know when you lie."

"I did, I did." He gave in through heavy pants before shoving me off. I dropped him and when I turned around everyone resumed what they were doing in fear that I was to snap at them as well. I then looked back at him again and waited for what he had to tell me.

"He said he wasn't looking for you." He lied to me as he pulled a cigarette out and tried to light it. I snatched it and threw it away.

"I'm fucking pregnant where are you manners?" I hissed at him. "And also probably cause he already fucking knows where I am."

"He told me he's starting a revolution."

"For what?" I questioned him in an annoyed growl.

"Arie, I know you don't want to hear this but we need to talk. I need you to be open for me to talk and I need you to be serious."

"I would be if you were on my side for once." I replied angrily at him. I stopped and starred him straight in his eyes.

"Just come to my place please." He told me. I angrily watched him for a minute but he didn't give up the demand. Finally I sighed with surrender. His house was only a couple blocks away from here so it wasn't that much of a trek. I walked myself up the stairs and we closed the door behind us, suddenly his weak act crumbled. He grew in confidence by twice the size, his intimidating walk took in place. He wanted me to be weak next to him but it never worked on me.
