Five years later, he got down on one knee and asked me the question.

Well, not at first. He decided to pull a joke and ask twenty other things before he caught me off guard with "Will you marry me?" I was focused on his other questions so much I was surprised he actually asked something serious like that.

"Are you kidding with me?" I asked quickly. That probably doesn't sound very nice...

"Do you not want to? It's okay if you don't..." Aw no, I made him sad, I didn't mean it like that... He began to pull back and put the ring he offered away but I grabbed his hand back. He turned to me with a dramatically surprised face.

"Yes." I said very simply and plain. His surprised look turned slowly into a gigantic smile.

"I knew you'd do that to me!" Bennett continued smiling at me and began laughing, "Well, at least I hoped you'd say yes and not just give up our relationship." He shrugged.

I began laughing along with him; his laughter truly is contagious.

"But... thank you, for loving me and saying yes. I couldn't be any happier!" Bennett kept talking and then proceeded to pick me up, hugging me to death.

"Okay, okay, I'm happy too, but I think you'd be happier if I were alive for the wedding!" I replied trying to squeeze out of his tight grip. He realized how tight he had me and loosed up a bit, but didn't let go.

"Lets go home, okay?" Bennett said, still with a beaming smile. He didn't put me down though, he carried me the whole way. No matter how many weird stares we got, he kept going on and smiling.

Once we reached our house, we played around a little and then started planning our perfect wedding.
