I couldn't wait. I tapped my foot impatiently. It's been two years. Two years, since I've seen his face. Two long, never ending years later, Jack Brewer is on his way back home. You see, he left when we were 18. I didn't want him to leave, I mean most people don't want there boyfriend to go to war and risk their lives but Jack wanted to. When he left I cried myself to sleep every night hoping and pray that he would come back in one piece. Jack called me at least once a week saying that he was okay, but that wasn't enough. I needed to stand in his arms and see his face for everything to be okay.

I'm so excited to see Jack that I'm literally shaking. When I heard the lady on the intercom say that his flight would be arriving soon I got out of my chair and started walking to the gate where he was supposed to be.

When I finally arrived at his gate I saw a bunch of men in army suits conning out of the tunnel and greeting there loved ones. The only problem was that I didn't see Jack. I started to panic, what if he didn't make it back. I started crying, I couldn't loose the most important person in my life. I started to look through the crowd again hoping I just overlooked him when I heard my name being called.

"KIMMY" I turned in the direction of the voice to see Jack Brewer.

"JACKIE" I shouted as I ran into his awaiting arms.

"I missed you so much" He mumbled into my hair as he spun us around.

"I missed you too" I replied.

After about 3 minutes of us just hugging we pulled and gave a long passionate kiss on the lips.

"How about we go to my house real quick so I can change and then we go on a date?" Jack asked me.

"I would love to" I replied.

Jack got his bags and we began the long walk to my car, holding hands.

"So where do you want to go?" Jack asked me.

"Wherever you want to go" I stated.

"Well, where do I want to go?" Jack joked.

"I don't know" I replied.

A few minutes later we reached my car.

"Do you want to drive, or do you want me to drive?" I asked as I pulled the car keys out of my pocket.

"I'll drive" Jack replied.

"Are you sure, you don't want to take a nap?" I asked concerned.

"No I'm fine, but I can tell you aren't, you can take a nap while I drive" Jack replied. He was right. I woke up super early this morning and couldn't fall back asleep because I was so anxious to see him.

"Fine" I replied, exhausted. Jack got into the drivers seat while I got into the passenger seat.

"I'll wake you up when we get to my house" Jack said, while grabbing my hand and intertwining our figures.

"Okay" I said torpid. I slowly began shutting my eyes until I was completely consumed by darkness.

JACKS P.O.V

I can't tell you how good it felt to know that Kim was right next to me and not with someone else right now. When I left I couldn't help but cry when I got onto the plane. The thought of MY Kim walking around in Seaford with a bunch of hormonal boy's sickened me. I wanted to serve the country but I didn't want to leave. In the end Kim talked me into serving the country, but it was a hard fought match.

I occasionally look over at Kim as I drove. I was hoping she would sleep long enough for me to go to the jewelry store to pick up the ring I ordered a while ago. I was planning on proposing to Kim tonight, because I thought it would be really special. I talked to my mom about it and she agreed and helped me come up with a way to propose.

As I turned into the parking lot of the jewelry store I saw Kim shift a little in her seat. I started to worry a bit, but then she relaxed. I figured I'd be in and out pretty quickly.

I entered the jewelry store and walked to the customer service counter where I received the ring I ordered. I quickly  put the ring box in my pocket and walked outside to Kim's car. As I sat down I looked to my right to see Kim, wide awake.

"I'm screwed" I mumbled under my breath.

"What are we doing here?" Kim asked confused.

"I wanted to order a bracelet for my mom" I  lied. I couldn't ruin the surprise.

"Oh okay" Kim replied like she actually believed me.

I put the key in the ignition and turned it to start. I out the car in drive and took off to my house.

When we finally arrived at my house I got out the car and woke Kim up.

"Kimmy, wake up" I whispered softly, while shaking her. Her eyes instantly shot open at the sound of my voice.

"Okay" She replied groggily.

She got out of the car and walked with me to my front door. Before I could put my hand on the door knob, the door came flying open.
