The counter was where I usually sat these days. Sitting down on the counter to get some work down, I just couldn't get the image of him off my mind.
I sighed, realizing how awfully embarassing I must have looked."Arh!" I shouted in frustration.
Just then I heard the door bell tingle and Jaebum walked inside.
"Yeseul! How was you day? Did you like the school? And you became friends with Sejoon right? No one bullied you right?"
"Slow down, slow down. Yes I liked the school, yes Sejoon is my friend and no one's bullying me" I said with a chuckle.
"Ah, that's a relief then." He said while leaning over and pinching my cheeks. I remembered what Sejoon told earlier leading to my cheeks turning bright red.
"I wish I could stay longer, but I need to start my part-time now." Jaebum said in a sad tone.
Then as if an idea struck him he said, "Hey, what are you doing this Saturday? The Monthly fair is about to start, wanna go? I'll call Sejoon too."
Hearing Sejoon's name made me feel a little relieved. "Yeah, sure. I think that would be fun." I smiled.
"Okay, Saturday then! See you then!"
He exited after giving me one of his signature winks.
Granma had given me full responsibility of the cafe during the evening as she had become pretty weak and also her doctor advised her too not stress herself too much.
It was turning dark. A strong breeze blew through the window making a small statue on the mantel almost fall off. I quickly went over to the window to close it when I heard the door open, hearing the familiar jingle, I turned around while saying, "Welcome to Delitr-"
I stopped mid sentence when I saw Jungkook standing in front of the door.
What is he doing here?
He entered and took a quick left to the mystery books section.
Ofcourse. He came here to buy books.
My stupidity was getting the better of me.
Still looking out for him, I quietly went back to the counter.I nervously glanced towards the corner of the book store where he was standing, picking out a few books.
Stop looking at him, will you?
I said to myself.I was already embarassed about the previous incident and now he had magically appeared in the bookstore too. Was everyone trying to kill me with embarassment?
I looked away and started playing with the ring on my finger. I always did that when I was nervous.
I don't know but there was the kind of aura that Jungkook emitted that made me extremely giddy and nervous.I guess I was too concentrated in my ring playing thing that I didn't notice him standing in front of the counter staring at me.
I immediately shot up from my seat and realizing what I just did, forced myself to sit again.
"Yo-you scared me." I said sheepishly.
"Oh, I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean it." Obviously taken aback.
"Um, its okay. Uh, do you need anything?"
"Well, yeah." He said as if he just remembered it.
"Do you have the next volume to this book?" Showing me the cover of a mystery book.
The cover looked very familiar until I realized it was my favourite mystery series. I secretly felt happy that he read the series because many people weren't aware of it.
