Two days flew past, and still I couldn't figure out why Mia Green sounded so familiar or why the atmosphere around Wilson heights was so silent and enigmatic.
I spent most of my time indoors since I wasn't very outgoing person. I did anything that killed time. Reading medical journals, finding out latest research in medicals, comics, anime, movies, Facebook, instagram and lots of things that a typical person my age does.
Then I did my laundry, cooked food for myself sometimes treat myself with choco chip cookies or hot chocolate. Then I took long walks around the neighborhood in the evening.
It was autumn and autumns are supposed to be specifically lonely. The window from my room provided a beautifully depressing view of a large maple tree and below it was a rusted old bench. In my two days stay, I observed that nobody sat on it. People seldom used this street. Mostly teenage couples who sought privacy or people seeking peaceful walk sauntered down here.
Wilson heights was located farther from the crowded city. I couldn't afford the rents in the city.
I had already felt the need for company after spending 24 hours.
I wasn't really excited or looking forward to meet Mia Green but still I was curious to see her.
In the evening when I was busily playing plants vs zombies, I heard a frantic knock on the door.
I couldn't imagine Mrs. Leyman knocking so crazily so I assumed it was someone else. Irritated, I got up and opened the door with unnecessary force only to face a girl with jet black hair, pale skin and big green eyes.
And suddenly I remembered everything and before I knew it I yelled in surprise, " Mia!" The green eyed Mia was as surprised as me and said, "Why if it isn't my nerdy neighbour Aria!" We hugged each other and I showed her our apartment.
Mia Green was my neighbour. We used to play together and fool around as kids. We were the best of friends and spent whole day together. We played and studied together..... well I studied but can't say the same about her. We were almost family until my family decided to move out of that house. How the hell did I forget her!
We chatted for hours together about everything going on in our lives. I told her about my rough ride on relationships, the aim to became psychiatrist and then about my college and finally our sweet memories as kids.
Mia was apparently single and had a Flirty love life, she wanted to become a dance choreographer and I smiled as I remembered how she loved dancing as a kid.
'This is awesome!' I thought...
Later I realized I was so wrong.
