Ariana Ryder

All the pieces of puzzle fell into place. How I had missed all those significant details? I couldn't believe I was so stupid. I hurried out the decent cafe and headed home. Diana was hot on my heels. She had sensed my sudden panic and knew something was up. Its a good thing because I may need her help. I reached my apartment and fumbled for my keys opened the foot and hurried in. I didn't knew why I was so anxious to see Mia safe. I pushed the door open. I went in with Diana. Everything was eerily silent. I went towards Mia's room it's door was locked from inside. "Mia!" I yelled. No answer. I felt a sudden pang of panic. I frantically fiddled with the lock. Thats when I heard a loud knock from the bathroom. "Ariana! Open the bathroom door." It was Alec. I opened the door and Alec came out panting for breathe. He was drenched in sweat. I turned to the closed door of the bedroom. Alec knocked it down in three tries. I stared in shock at the scene which met my eyes...

Mia lay there unconscious in a pool of blood with a shard of glass sticking out from her stomach. Someone had stabbed her. The mirror in her room was again broken and shattered in thousands of pieces. "No!" I screamed and rushed to her. I felt her pulse. She was alive. Together me, Diana and Alec, rushed Mia to nearest hospital... I hope she holds on...

At the Holy Faith hospital, Mia was recovering. I couldn't get the bloody scene out of my head. My mind was rushing with thoughts and emotions. I controlled them and stepped to the reception and enquired, "Dr. Stephanie's office? " The receptionist pointed to the left. I walked towards left and opened the door to Dr. Stephanie's office and went in and said, "I would like to have a word with you.... it's urgent." The doctor was friendly and I had to do it before Mia regains consciousness...
