I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt Taehyung tap my foot with his underneath. I had been spacing out all day, thinking about what TaeKwang told me yesterday. The missing presence of my pendant wasn't helping me think either. Taehyung seemed to notice this and tapped me on the foot a few times every now and then to keep me in reality.

"Jeon Jiwoo and Kim Taehyung, please stay back after this. Class is dismissed," our Korean teacher Mrs.Kwon dismissed the rest of the class while the two of us stayed back, confused.

"I've realised both of you haven't been doing well in your school exams. I understand that you two are facing some troubles right now in your personal lives but you have to do well in school for your futures, right?" She smiled kindly. "I was going to give you two extra lessons on specific subjects, especially history since the two of you didn't seem to quite excel in that. But if you guys receive a high mark for your partner assignment, I'll let you off the hook,"

Unlike Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Kwon was kind hearted and never seemed to show any hate towards Taehyung. She was a fair teacher who was never biased and seemed to adore Taehyung and me especially.

"Thank you miss," I bowed. "We'll try our best,"

"Good luck, both of you,"

Taehyung and I walked out of the class together in silence, no one around in the corridors to break it. Stuffing my hands in my pockets, I let out a small cough and sniffled. I felt around inside my blazer, hoping I had a tissue left but clearly there was none. My eyes then landed on the hand in front of me, with a few tissues in their grasp.

"O-oh," I grabbed the tissues from Taehyung's hand, accidentally grazing my fingers against his soft ones. "Thanks,"

Taehyung just shook his head in dismissal of my gratitude and stuffed his hands inside of his blazer pockets. I blew my nose, trying to reduce the sound since there was someone right next to me.

"Huh, you two seem pretty close,"

I turned around to see who the owner of the voice was and found TaeKwang walking up to us casually. I could sense Taehyung tensing up beside me as the other boy got closer.

"Yah Kim Taehyung, don't you feel guilty being around her all the time? I mean, if I were you I'd be avoiding her and not get closer," TaeKwang raised an eyebrow as he spoke amusedly.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, "What are you talking about TaeKwang-"

TaeKwang abruptly cut me off. "You really don't know? This bastard here-"

"Shut up Han TaeKwang, you did nothing right either," Taehyung spoke with a hint of anger in his voice, looking down at the floor and not making eye contact with the boy.

I glanced down and realised how tightly Taehyung was clenching his fists together, so tight to the point where his knuckles were turning white. I had a strong urge to just reach out and grab his hand gently with mine, but I had to restrain myself from doing so.

"Jeon Jiwoo, remember how I told you to remember what your parents did to mine? How about I tell you right now?" His eyes glinted with something that I couldn't make out as his lips slowly formed into a sly smirk.

And before TaeKwang could say any more, I felt Taehyung's hand grip onto mine tightly then pulling me away from the scene. He led me into the cafeteria, earning a few confused and shocked glances from a few students including YooJung, Jimin, Yoongi oppa and his friends.

"Taehyung!" Jimin grinned widely and came waddling towards us. "I finally get to see you properly! Come sit with us, you too Jiwoo!"

Taehyung seemed a little hesitant at his suggestion but let Jimin drag him to the table where the other boys were sitting by along with me. The moment we took a seat, I felt uncomfortable since I was the only girl at the table.
