"She's been suffering from a heart disease for a while and I'm surprised that she managed to live normally for so long. She needs to undergo an operation and I would need her family's consent," the doctor explained. "May I know if she has a daughter or son, or her husband?"

"My dad is her son, I'll notify him to come over right now," YooJung muttered and went outside the room to phone her dad.

"It's a good thing she's healthy, then there would be higher possibilities of her surviving the operation," he gave us an reassuring smile.

I took a glance over to Taehyung who was currently tearing up again, his eyes fixated onto the floor. Gently, I grasped his hand with mine and interlocked our fingers together.

"She should wake up soon," the doctor said and slowly made his way out as his phone started ringing.

Letting my hands unravel from Taehyung's, I motioned him to go over to his grandma. Taehyung hesitantly made his way to the bed, sitting down on the stool next to it.

"Let's wait outside shall we?" Jimin's mum whispered in my ear gently and flashed me a small smile.

Jimin and I followed her quietly outside, shutting the door behind us to give Taehyung some privacy. I sat down on the chairs situated in the hallways and let out a shaky breath, looking down at my palms. I looked back up again when I felt a slight shift to my right and saw Jimin slumped against the chair next to me. His eyes were closed and his hands were behind his head whilst he breathed in and out softly.

"I don't like that doctor you know," he muttered. "I mean, what kind of a doctor answer his phone while he's with a patient?"

I let out a exasperated sigh in reply and glanced over to Jimin again, only to find him sitting upright with his eyes boring into mine. I didn't exactly know what was going on in his mind but I assumed it to be anything but happy thoughts.

"Jiwoo..."

I shifted my attention towards Taehyung who had just come out of the room. His eyes looked dead than ever and his brown locks of hair was disheveled. With his attention fixated to the floor, Taehyung cocked his head towards his Halmeoni's room.

"Halmeoni wants to talk to you," he quietly spoke.

I hastily stood up and headed to the door, knocking on it before entering the room. Taehyung's grandma smiled at me warmly and tried to sit up. I quickly closed the door and rushed towards her to help her sit upright.

"Don't strain yourself," I said, sitting on the stool next to the bed after helping her. "Taehyung told me that you had something to say to me,"

"Jiwoo dear," Halmeoni extended her hands out and weakly grabbed onto mine. "If I happen to pass away, please don't leave Taehyung's side,"

I widened my eyes in panic and shook my head. "Please don't say that. You'll make it through,"

"You can never be sure of that dear," she chuckled lowly and pat my hand reassuringly. "It is selfish of me to ask you this, knowing that you have your own reasons and problems. But you're the only one that was able to make Taehyung smile truly,"

"Don't worry, I won't leave him," I flashed her a warm smile and squeezed her hand.

"Just remember that, it wasn't his fault,"

After saying those words, she sent me off outside. Closing the door behind me, I frowned in confusion, thinking about what she had told me.

What's not his fault?
