"Your palm is bleeding," Taehyung softly remarked, grabbing my wrist gently.
"Stupid, look at yourself," I sniffled, gently prying his hand off to slide his sleeve up to reveal the cuts on his wrists. I had noticed him wincing when he grabbed my wrist and pulled it up in curiosity. My heart ached once again when I saw them because I had been hoping he didn't self harm.
"Sorry," he sighed, his eyes glistening with sorrow once again.
"C'mon, let's go to my place for tonight. Yoongi oppa wouldn't mind since he's worrying about you as well," I smiled warmly. "And promise me you would never harm yourself like this,"
I held my pinky out, and he interlocked it with his own.
I phoned YooJung to tell her that her cousin was okay and immediately headed back home with the boy. Yoongi oppa gave a few sentences of scolding to Taehyung before heading over to his room to get him warmer clothes. Taehyung's hand was still intact with mine and it was still ice cold like from before.
"Are you okay?" I softly asked, looking over to gaze at his face. I could clearly see his face now in the bright room and instantly noticed the paleness in his cheeks and purple lips.
Why didn't I notice him shaking before?
Taehyung nodded slowly but I realised his lips were trembling. I tugged on his hand and dragged him upstairs into my room.
"Here," I grabbed my thick blanket and wrapped it around his shoulders. "You're still cold as ice,"
I squeaked in surprise when he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into his embrace, wrapping the blanket around me as well. "You're cold as well," he said in a soft tone.
"I was only gone for a few minutes are you guys are already being lovey dovey with each other," I heard Yoongi oppa's voice from the doorway. "Anyways, this doesn't look like the time to separate the two of you... Here's your clothes Taehyung,"
I pulled out of the boy's arms with wide eyes to just see Yoongi oppa closing the door on us. An awkward silence came afterwards before I spoke up again.
"You can go get changed in my bathroom," I pointed to the door on the other side of the room. "I-I'll just go get some spare blankets,"
Taehyung nodded like a child before heading into my bathroom without any words. I sighed in relief and dug through the bottom of my wardrobe to find an extra blanket but failed to find some. I realised the extra blankets had gone into the wash and was replaced with the current ones.
This all over again huh.
I flinched in shock when I heard Taehyung coming out again and saw him in a loose shirt and sweatpants along with his other clothes in his arms. I let out an awkward smile and ruffled my bangs before letting him know that there wasn't any spare blankets for today.
We both laid down on my bed which was just enough space for both of us, and interlocked out hands together. I stared up at the glowing star stickers on the ceiling and tightened my grip on Taehyung's hand. The boy squeezed my hand back and let out a content sigh.
"Taehyung?" I asked. The boy hummed in reply as if to tell me to continue.
"I had a dream about my mother and Jungkook yesterday and you know what they'd told me?" I said, and silence came afterwards. "They told me you did nothing wrong, and they forgive you as well. So don't be guilty anymore please, no one blames you,"
I turned to my side and looked up at the boy's face who was already staring back at me with soft eyes. He flashed me a small smile before slowly wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him. I smiled and rested my cheek on his chest before looking back up at him. From the moonlight seeping through the window blinds, I saw his eyes glistening with sorrow but with a tinge of happiness in them.
