Jaime came over again for the second week in a row, and we were seeming to get along pretty well. Not as well as Mike and him, but, I was also trying to keep my distance to the best of my ability. Only because every single thing Jaime does reminds me of the dreams I have had the past few months, and it's been messing with my brain like mad.

Here's what really stumped me: When Jaime refused to go into the practice room, I remembered the dream I had had the night before where a voice that resembled Jaime's was like a guardian angel towards me.

In the dream, every time I would want to go into the garage, I'd hear a distant voice telling me, "No, Victor. No. Don't do this to yourself. You know what happens when you go in the garage. Stop before it gets worse."

I believe this 'voice' was trying to protect me from myself. Like it was telling me to stop thinking these terrible things and worrying about my mother. It wanted me to steer clear of my thinking space, so I wouldn't do something stupid like punch brick walls.

My dreams are slowly becoming my reality.

Whenever I think of my mother, I remember his voice, Jaime's voice.

It all confusing to me and I didn't know what kind of trick life was playing on me right now, but my conscious life and unconscious life are slowly melting together.

What I do know is that if things keep happening in my life like they do in the dreams, this will all end badly. I know for sure.

"Hey! Vic!" I heard my brother yell from the lower deck of the house.

"Yeah?" I yelled back.

"Jaime just got a text from his old buddy, Tony, asking to hang. Do you mind?"

"Uhhh..No, that's okay."

"Alright. He said Tony doesn't live far from here, so he should be here in about ten to fifteen minutes. You should get ready for practice."

"Uhh-Okay! Be down in a second" I said, still quite traumatized by my sudden realization of my dreams.

I put on a fresh v-neck shirt, and shorts that cut off at my knees and made my way downstairs.

"There he is!" Mike announced.

"Yep. Here I am." I laughed, faking it.

"Are you alright?" Mike asked, I noticed Jaime looking dead at me.

I looked at Jaime for a brief second and we made severe eye contact. It felt as if a shock ran through my body and my brain had been paralyzed for half a second. I had already forgotten what my brother said, and I couldn't keep my eyes off of Jaime. Yet, he didn't mind that I was blatantly staring at him.

"VIC!"

"Huh? What? Yeah? What?" I replied, snapping out of my trance and back into the real world.

"You sure don't look alright." Mike said, walking towards me.

I backed away from him, "No, no. I'm okay. I was just day dreaming for a second, sorry. I haven't gotten a lot of sleep lately."

"Well, you need to get your shit together. We have another contest to attend in 3 weeks, and I expect you to be on your A game 100% of the way. Got it?"

"Got it." I said, rolling my eyes as I did.

Mike shook his head and turned around, walking towards the kitchen.

I looked back at Jaime within seconds. "What the fuck is up dude? You can't just look at me like that without giving some explanation." I whispered.
