Before I could give in and press my lips to his, he moved his head and planted a kiss on my cheek.

"Good night, princess," he breathed. "I'll see you again tomorrow."

He was gone before my heart's pace returned to normal

Fourteen || Friends, Lovers, Or Nothing (Pick One)

It was expected that I dreamt of Calum last night. I tossed and turned around in bed, weighing the pros and cons of what I'd just agreed to. I was so tired when I woke up that I skipped my routine jog early this morning, opting for a twenty minute stint on the treadmill instead. Even over breakfast, I wasn't too convinced the benefits outweighed the repercussions of dating a celebrity. I was so lost in my thoughts that I nearly spilled scalding hot coffee over my freshly pressed bloused when my phone chimed with an incoming text.

The thought of Calum waking up this early just to greet me good morning put a smile on my face. It certainly brightened up my morning.

"You're looking chipper today," Chase commented while I was clocking in. "Good weekend?"

"You could say that," I smiled. "How was Zeta? Sorry I wasn't able to join you guys."

"No worries, Taylor. I figured a date with a famous bassist trumps drinks with some guys you barely know. You promised a rain check, so it's all good."

"I didn't-" Technically I did hang out with Calum. "It wasn't a date."

"Ah ha!" She exclaimed, doing a ridiculous victory jig behind the receptionist's station. "So you did hang out with him this weekend?"

"Yeah," I admitted.

"Spill," she squealed. "Come on, I need deets."

Considering I had no one to share to, not even Maxie or Alanna in the Philippines, I guess telling Chase wouldn't be too bad. Just as long as she doesn't spill. She must've seen the hesitation on my face so she did a zipping motion with her fingers over her lips. Even then, I need to chose my words carefully.

"Okay fine," I sighed. "Let's do lunch? I'm about to do my daily controls."

"I'll hold you to that," she narrowed her eyes at me but left me to go do my job.

The morning half of Monday passed as quickly as it came. Before I knew it, Chase was dragging me out the door for lunch. We settled for Thai Nesia, somewhere near the African restaurant Calum brought me to a few days back.
