Three months later

Vic, the guys, Lynn, and my mom have something planned for me today. I'm actually terrified to figure out what it is.

They told me I need to stay in the room until they're ready.

I've been up here for roughly three hours.

Just then, there was a knock at my door. Wow, perfect timing.

"Kellin. Come downstairs now." They said, then ran away. Great. I hate surprises. I groaned and stood up from my bed. I quickly walked to the door, down the stairs, then to the living room. Everyone was standing around in a half circle and the T.V was covered with a sheet.

"Come here, Kells." Vic said, I raised my eyebrow, but walked over to him nonetheless. He handed me a small box. I looked at him in confusion. "Open it, stupid." Vic laughed.

I slowly opened it, but when I saw what was in it, I closed it immediately. "No. This was way too expensive." I said, handing it back to him.

"Baby. Please open it." He said with pleading eyes.

"Fine." I sighed and opened the box again. I eyed the beautiful necklace I saw at the jewelry store a few months back. "It's beautiful. Thank you." I said, looking up at him.

"Read the note." He said quietly. What note? I moved the necklace slightly and saw a small piece of paper. I unfolded it and read what it said.

Take the sheet of off the T.V. You're welcome. Signed, everyone

I looked up and gave everyone questioning looks. I felt Vic give me a little push towards the T.V. I slowly made my way over to it, kind of scared for the outcome. When I reached it, I slowly pulled the sheet down. What I saw immediately felt tears in my eyes.

Account Name: Surgery Amount: $30,000

"Oh my god. How'd- What-" My mind was going crazy. I couldn't even form a full sentence.

"Surprise!" They all yelled at once. I composed myself as quick as possible and ran over to hug my mom.

"Thank you so much. How'd you do it?" I cried into her shoulder.

"You didn't catch on to why all of your friends got jobs?" She asked. I shook my head. "They told me they wanted to help me save up the money since they knew how much you wanted it." I pulled away from her and looked around at everyone else. Every single one of them was a smiling mess.

One by one, I gave them a hug, saving Vic for last. He hugged me back so tight that I thought I was going to break in half.

"I love you so much." He said.

"I love you too."

"Yay. Cute, happy couple! Now, let's go out to celebrate." My mom said, clapping her hands. Vic and I pulled apart, him taking my hand in his.

We all walked out of the house while I had the biggest smile I've had on my face in such a long time.
