I froze, when I heard that dude asked me what I was looking at. One thing that I don't like is disrespect, and I know damn well I'm not gonna be disrespected by some fresh-looking, nigga! I glared at him and cross my arms. "What you say?" I asked, an attitude lurking into my voice. His little buddies laughed, and kept sucking on their ciggs, which made me roll my eyes.
"Oh shit, look at lil' mama, she a fiesty one." Some dude said, shoving his hands in his pockets.
Ole' fresh dude turned and looked at him, "Shut up, Brian," Brian nodded his head quickly, his grin wiping off of his face. He looked scared as hell, but shit why be scared of this dude right here?
He waved his hands, away from the group and muttered something low to them, that I couldn't quite hear. They all nodded, and scurried off into some other direction, towards the south side. I didn't speak until, I saw their large ghostly figures be engulfed into the shadows'.
Fresh boy, cleared his throat; while narrowing his eyes. "I said, what you lookin' at bitch?" His voice lowered, and for a second my eyes widened. Trisha had stopped talking, she was mute as can be.
In the corner of my eye, I saw her glancing back at the two of us, in awe. She had her arms wrapped around herself, as if she was cold. So I broke my hardening gaze, from Fresh boy and onto Trisha. "Go wait in the car." I told her, I didn't want my best friend, saying something that made this crazy fresh boy; jump us or some shit.
She scoffed, and pursed her lips, as if she was gonna say something-- but she thought better of it. Good I thought, she wasn't gonna get us both killed by her big mouth,
As soon as, Trisha got into the passenger, side, slamming my car door shut, and turned up the radio to Jay-Z's new song 'Tom Ford' I turned back towards ole fresh boy, but he was closer to me then expected.
