[Maya]

I was starving for lunch. I had a taste for an Italian, Sub from Jersey Mikes. Trisha, had the taste for the same thing. Except, she wanted a philly cheese steak. Since it was seventh period lunch, that meant we had about forty minutes to go grab something to eat, and then come back in time for School.

"Girl, you just don't know how hungry I am." Trisha says aloud, holding her stomach for dramatic affect. The girl could eat, and everybody knew it.

My stomach was rumbling at the prospect of getting something to it I patted my pockets to make sure, I had enough cash on me. It was a habit of mines. I never liked the idea, of having less money then what i really needed. It was weird, but it's the truth.

Trisha shook her head at me, cause she knew it was my annual thing. I smiled, and we were halfway out the door when, a fammilliar voice called my name.

"MAYA!" A girly, voiced called. I was confused, so I turned my head around, to see who it was. I narrowed my eyes, it was Janet and Michelle, making their way towards me, with their dainty little heels, skinny jeans, pink and purple nails and too dark makeup.

I mean SERIOUSLY, who the hell wears heels in highschool?! You see that crap, on HighSchool musical, when Sharpay wears the pink heels, or-- Mean Girls, or something. This is the twenty-first century, someone should have told them.

Trisha nudged me, and whispered so that the girls couldn't hear. They were making their way over here, fast.

"Girl, c'mon let's just dip--and grab our lunch." She tells me. I was going to quickly obliged, but the girls got here extra quick, as if they were reading our thoughts.

Truthfully, I promised myself that if I ran into them again, I was going to beat their fuckin' asses.  I didn't have time for this, crap. I just needed to complete this year of school, then the next year--then my butt can finally go off to college.

"Hey Girl!" Janet said, extending  her limbs out, to hug me. I scruntched up my face, and pulled back, in disgust.

Trisha snorted, almost began laughing out loud. Thankfully, she didn't. Janet, tried to hide her scowl, and you could sense the bubble of irritation around her aura.

"Any-ways.." Michelle continued, "How about tomorrow, you SIT with US, at lunch?" She pressed hopefully, a weird gleam in her eyes.

I could feel Trisha object, since who the hell sits at lunch anymore these days. Unless, you were a Freshie or a Sophmore.
