(The wedding is over. It is late into the night. The inn is dimly lit. Seraphina is in the corner of the lobby sobbing. A pistol is laying beside her. Jupiter is laying on the floor motionless. His back is to the audience. One of Walker's henchmen is also laying on the floor motionless. A pistol is also laying beside him. Kadence, Beckett, and Hudson all come into the lobby; all are slightly drunken. Seraphina looks up and then runs over to the three, hugging them as she does.)

Kadence: (Fearfully) What happened here?

Seraphina: (Through tears, letting go of the three) He, Walker's henchman...he killed Jupiter. I was...I was upstairs and...and I heard a gunshot. I came down and Jupiter was...he was on the ground. The henchman had his back turned, so...so I shot him.

(Hudson stands in shock of the scene.)

Beckett: When did this all happen?

Seraphina: It was...it was about an hour ago.

(Hudson walks away from the group. She goes over to Jupiter's body. She slowly falls to the ground, laying upon Jupiter's body as she does. She begins to weep. Beckett looks around, then at Seraphina.)

Beckett: Come on, let's get you two somewhere else-

Hudson: No! I'm not leaving Jupiter!

Kadence: Hud, it's for your own good.

Hudson: No! I don't want to leave him!

Kadence: Hudson.

Hudson: Fine! Just let me have a few moments with him. I promise, I won't take long.

Beckett: (Turning to Seraphina) Come on, let's get you upstairs.

(Beckett puts his arm around Seraphina and goes up the stairs and offstage. Kadence follows after them. Hudson is slightly looming over Jupiter's body.)

Hudson: Why...why is God so merciless as to take away the people I care for most? Why must I suffer for Daria's deeds. Oh, how I wouldn't give to be in Jupiter's place. How I wouldn't die to be rid of these burdens...
