(Beckett and Jupiter walk down the stairs into the lower level. Conrad is coming out of his and Adela's room as they enter the level.)

Conrad: (Noticing Beckett and Jupiter) Oh! You're back! Wait, where's Elias?

Beckett: We, um...

Jupiter: We don't know.

(Adela comes out of her and Conrad's room.)

Adela: Is everything okay? Where's Elias?

Jupiter: We, uh...we don't know.

Adela: What do you mean you don't know?

Beckett: All we know is that he's still at the Langston home. Walker had the two of us escorted out because we accused him of being the reason the others are dead.

Jupiter: It was on separate occasions, though.

Conrad: Do you know when he'll be back?

Beckett: Not a clue.

Adela: Well, I guess we can only await his return.

(The four disband and go into their respective rooms. It can be seen that Kadence and Beckett's room has been moved to where Seraphina and Elias's room had been. The lights goes off, save for a singular spotlight on the narrator.)

Narrator: And, so, they waited. They waited, and they waited, and they waited, and Elias never came. Four days had passed before they gave up the hope of Elias coming back. Not knowing he was dead, there was no funeral held for him; there was only the acceptance that he was no longer associated with their group but with Walker and his maliciousness. Because of this, Beckett fell into a depression. He seemed to stay in his bed for days on end, only coming out of it to use the restroom or to sometimes eat with the others.

(The lights come on in Kadence and Beckett's room. Beckett is lying in his bed. Kadence comes into the room.)

Kadence: Beckett? Do you feel any better?

(Beckett grumbles.)

(Sitting on the bed with Beckett) Come on. You don't even feel a little better?

Beckett: (Rolling over to face Kadence) Why should I? All my friends are either dead or insane.

Kadence: You still have me.

Beckett: You're the only reason I'm not dead yet.

Kadence: I'll be sure to stay alive, then. (Rubbing Beckett's arm) I promise, one day this whole thing will all be over. I can't bring Byron back, but Elias will probably come back to his senses and we'll get to see him again. Maybe even Walker will turn over a new leaf.

Beckett: I hope so. I miss them, you know.

Kadence: I do.

(Kadence leans over, looks Beckett in the eyes, and runs her hand through his hair.)

Do you want me to bring you something to eat or do you want to try and walk around a bit.

Beckett: Can you just bring it? I'm really not feeling up to doing anything today.

Kadence: It's no problem to me.

(She kisses Beckett's cheek and ruffles his hair.)

I love you, Beckett.

Beckett: I love you, too, Kadence. Thank you. I don't deserve you.

Kadence: (Getting up) You do deserve me. If you didn't, you wouldn't have me. I'll see you in a bit, love.

(She gets up and walks out of the room.)
