It started running at me when suddenly I dodged to the left and picked up the sword. My hands were shaking. Too many thoughts were running through my mind. The demon swiped at me to the left, I blocked with the sword making a clean cut across the demons arm. One of its claws ripped open my chest. The wound hurt like hell but wasn't too deep. "Ah! Fuck!" I yelled as I slashed forwards in an attempt to hit the demons head. It dodged but the sword connected with its leg. Cuts were being made but no blood was coming out. Instead of blood some white plasma looking substance fell out of the wounds. I knew I could not take this fight unless I cleared my mind and focused. It swung, I jumped forwards so only the flesh hit me instead of the claw. While going forwards I swung at the demons arm. The arm came off cleanly and I took another swing at the demons head cutting it off completely. I guess training with a sword previously in my life had come in handy. I walked over to the button on the wall and pressed it. Mallory and Nathaniel had  been waiting for me. "Guys come on up, there's a lot to see," I said sitting against a wall. My chest hurt like crazy. I saw Mallory climb up the ladder first, than Nathaniel. The first thing they saw was the dead demon on the ground with the sword. Then they noticed the chest wound. "Holy shit are you ok?!" Mallory said running over to me. Nathaniel ran over as well and took off my shirt to see the wound clearly. "That doesn't look good," he said feeling a bit uneasy because of all the blood. "I know you two don't like blood, I can take care of myself," I said trying to get up. It turns out the wound was way deeper than I originally thought. "Shut the fuck up Jarred we are taking care of you," Mallory said trying not to stare at the wound or throw up. "I'll be fine, check out how much stuff there is to see in here," I said closing my eyes. "Yeah it is a lot," Nathaniel said as he stood up walking over to a bookshelf. "Perhaps we can learn where we are supposed to go next," Mallory said. "Mallory is your bag with us?" I asked knowing she would have scissors. "Yeah here you go," she said as she handed it to me. I took the scissors out and cut the sleeves off my shirt. Then I made a sling for my chest that applied pressure to the wound. It would be hard to do anything for a bit so we would need to take it slow. My main worry was that we would be a hinderance to the group. "Let's take some of the books back with us and go to the campsite, I need rest," I said as Mallory helped me up. "Agreed," Nathaniel said putting some books in Mallory's bag. The demon still sat in the middle of the room, dead. Once we went down the ladder and the hatch shut I could've sword I heard something start moving around.
