Chapter 19

no..no..you should stay away from me..

I was pretty shocked when he grabbed my hand. It's the second time. He called my name, well he always does. But, this time..it's different. His voice is gentle.

'sorry' that's what he said. My mind was blanked. Why?

'for last night..for teasing you non-stop beyond the boundary, I'm sorry' he said again manage to wake me from my day-dreaming. I turned around facing toward him. He doesn't let my hand go.

'I went too far. That's all I wanna say' he added. I stares at him. This is so surprising. I pulled my hand away.

'anyway, we should get to work' I said and get away from him. One joined him and they followed me.

We did our work at ease since we got the hot-guy, Harry. While we were promoting, One came to me. I turned to him as he looks uneasy. I glance toward a familiar figure and saw Rossy. I smirked. 'go' I said to One pushing him. He glares at me. 'what?' I asked. 'just go' I said again. I lifted one of my eyebrows at him. He chuckles. 'fine' he said. He left heading toward Rossy. I smiled. 'it's good to be in love' I said to myself.

'what was that?' Harry asked as soon as he came near me. I turned to him and smiles. 'who knows that One has someone he likes' I said. 'what?' he asked. 'One, he has someone he likes' I said again. 'really?' he asked me. He turned to One. He was excited. I can see from his expression. I giggles.

'what?' he asked. I shakes my head. I left him and continue walking to find some customers. He followed me.

'you know, people might think we're a couple if you keep following me like this' I said not stopping my footsteps. 'I don't mind' he said. I stopped. So did him. I turned to him making a serious expression staring at him deeply. He replied the staring.

'Harry, just don't' I said leaving him again.

'Hey, Harry! Sheira!' Tod came running toward us. Rena was together with him and Nash. 'oh, hye' I said. Harry joined in. 'let's go swimming for a bit' said Nash inviting the good offer. I turned to Rena not understanding, aren't we suppose to work? Rena giggles. She seems to be able to read my mind. 'come. Aunt Aggie said we should go for a short swim at least. Since, it's hot' said Rena grabbing my hand. I smiled widely. 'really..? then, we should' I said. As Tod and Nash run toward the ocean, Rena pulled me along. I stopped and turn to Harry who didn't follow us. 'Harry! come on!' I shouted calling for him. He smiles and waved. 'I pass' he said. Rena pulled me before I manage to go and pull him.

While we were swimming, I kept staring at Harry. He sat down by the shore and watched us having fun. Why doesn't he join the fun as well? Is he mad because of what I said? Did I offend him?

That night, I was helping Aunt Aggie washing the dishes in the kitchen. There are only me and her together there. She suddenly giggles. I glances at her. 'so, is being arranged by parents, hard?' she suddenly asked. I froze. I turned to her as I was shocked. She smiled. 'what are you talking about?' I asked pretending not understanding anything. 'Rena told me, about you and Harry' she added. I was surprised. I kept silent. 'about this..' I didn't manage to finish my words, she said. 'don't worry, I won't tell anyone including One' she said. I smiles. I sighed. 'actually, it was only my mom's idea. Together with his mom' I said continued washing the dishes. 'so, your dad didn't say anything?' she asked. I nods. 'but, you know..you can;t hold back if you have feelings' she said. I turned to her. My hands are still washing the dishes. 'if suddenly, you have feelings to each others..don't hold back' she paused making sure I understand her words. 'people are not suppose to hide their feelings. It's for the sake of gaining happiness' she holds my shoulder. She look me in the eyes. 'drop your ego' she added.

'why are telling me this?' I asked. 'me and my husband, were arranged as well. We're like you, a little. We made promised not to fall in love..but, somehow, we fell in love' she paused. I stopped washing the dishes and carefully listen to her. 'our ego..won't let us down. Before we know it, we took away our own happiness. I took his, he took mine. People around us became unhappy because of it. We almost lose our friends since we were too agoist' she ended her speech. She smiles earnestly at me. 'just, don't let your ego win against you' she managed to finish her words before Rena came.

'Sheira, let's watch TV. Everyone gathered at the main living room' she said and left. I nods. I wiped my hands after finishing all the dishes. I smiles at Aunt Aggie. 'I'll be leaving' I said. She nods. 'thank you' I told her before I left. 'Sheira..' she stopped me. 'for now, did you even have a slight feeling toward him?' she asked. I went silent for a while and shakes my head. 'no' I said. She smiles. I excused myself.

I really don't have any. That's what my head told me.

At the private living room, every one gather. We were watching a variety shows together. I looked around. I turned to Zaeim who was sitting next to me. 'hey, Zaeim. Where is Harry?' I asked him. He looked around too. 'outside, maybe' he said. I paused. 'can I ask you something?' I asked Zaeim. He turn to me 'what?' he asked. 'does Harry is a kind of person that gets offend easily?' I asked. He was surprised. 'no, hell no. He is a very positive guy, why?' he said. I told him what happened in the evening and he giggles. After that, he stares at me deeply with a serious stares. 'Sheira..' he called out for me. 'I'll tell you a secret, but..can you do me a favor in return?' he said. 'if it's a secret, you shouldn't tell' I said. He sighed. 'you wanna know why Harry behave like that or not?' he threaten me. I sighed. 'fine. what favor?' I asked.
