"Yseatte? Are you coming or what? We're meeting with the New Zealand and Local Investors today." mom said over the phone.
I yawned. "Mom. Is that another boring day at your office? Its summer, mom! Nikki and I have plans." I said in a lazy tone. Uggh. I hate it when someone wakes me up from my slumber.
"Oh now, now! There you go again. Get your lazy ass to the bathroom. Anak, I'm pretty sure that Nikki will be calling to tell you to postpone what you guys planned for today. Her parents are bringing her to their business trip to Thailand! They will launch a branch of their business there." She replied with a bossy tone.
"Moooooommyyyyyy. Of course you know about that. I do to." I scratched my head and turned to the other side of my bed. "Can I just please sleep for 2 hours?" I looked at my wall clock, its 9AM. "Promise I'll be there to join you on lunch with your business buddies--"
"Business partners!"
"Yeah okay okay!"
"Okay then. Got to go."

I yawned as I placed my phone at a table beside my bed.
Ugh. Moooooooooooom. She calls me every morning talaga para papuntahin ako dun sa building ng company namin to attend some boring meeting about business, bla bla bla. She said she wants me exposed to their world, the business world. Where investing, marketing, money, deals and arranged marriage is common. My family owns the Maniego-Garcia Marketing and Industry.
And I hate it when she lets me meet some sons business freaks, she always says, "It's not arranged marriage, anak! I'm just letting you meet new people, new friends." Her first line is what I hold on to.
I was about to go to sleep when my cousin, Cole. Called up. He's a cousin from the Maniego. Were super close.
My dad has an older brother while my mom is an only child.
"Waasup Xambria?" pffft. Xambria, my second name. Most of my relatives call me that.
"Lemme guess you're at a meeting to?" I said with a teasing tone.
"Heck yeah. Nakakatamad naman to."
"Ba't ikaw andyan? What about kuya Brecht?" his older brother.
"Wala. Andun sa grape plantation sa Visayas. Eh sa ayaw ko magpainit!" at humahalakhak siya. They also own a Wine Line named, Lux Wines of Maniego Industries. Habang samin naman ang Lux Hotel & Resorts of Maniego Industries. Tapos sa International Marketing ay sa Garcia naman which is sa mommy ko. Business partners with the Maniegos.
"Palibhasa, takot sa init. tsss"
"Nagsalita! By the way, hey! Make it fast! Andito kami sa building niyo!"
"Arggh. Nooo. Matutulog pa ako." Mag poprotesta pa sana siya pero binabaan ko na siya ng tawag at natulog ulit.

Nagising ako ng quarter to 11 kaya nag prepare na ako. I'm too lazy to get dressed kaya I just wore some white jeans, black pumps at Giorgio Armani Sleeveless Panel-Front Blouse. At nag perfume. Make up? I don't use that.
