BRENT
I find her sitting on the bench like she always does on her free period after lunch. She runs a hand through her dark hair. Parker. Ree Parker.
"You!" I stride towards her slowly. "Have to stop taking pictures way too much." She finishes once I sit down.
"It's my favorite thing to do. Especially when I'm with you, a lot of adventures to get on this baby." I point to my camera as she smiles weakly at my words.
"And you say your awesomeness has a higher intensity than mine when it's definitely clear that it's not." She smirks proudly at me.
I hand her the Halloween Bash poster. "You coming?" Her face falls for a moment.
"I don't know. The first was horrible."
The memories of her crying that night surface. My fault. "I promise I won't leave you hanging this time. I mean, look at these awesome graphics. It's going to be cool!"
"Even if I go, you won't need to not leave anyway."
My eyebrows furrow in confusion. "I don't understand." I say.
"There's this kind of boyfriend rule. Kara said every party that we happen to attend together, he's automatically my date." Disappointment floods me. Should've guessed it.
She sighs heavily. "But I don't care, he has to ask or I might as well stick with you for a movie or something."
"That sounds great." I suddenly feel like a second option. Wait, what? This sounds nothing like me. But I can't help but think about it, I know Noah's her boyfriend and he has way more privileges than I do. I just-
No way. No fucking way. I can't possibly be jealous. Ugh, it's messing with my head.
"Are you listening?"
"What? Sorry, I kinda zoned out." She shoves at my shoulder before leaning on it.
I awkwardly rest my head on hers. "I said. I'm going to go for the bash thing."
"With who? Noah hasn't asked you yet."
"Time will tell."
A couple of girls pass by and stare at us with giggles and red colored cheeks. It confuses me. I manage to grab a few whispers by its horns.
"They're so cute, oh my gosh!"
"....i hope she goes with Brent to the bash on Saturday. I don't like Noah so much."
Same here but I'd never tell Parker that.
"You have no idea how bad I want to watch Vlog Twenty Six. I'm soooo craving it right now."
I chuckle softly at their words. Vlog Twenty Six? Whatever, it's probably some new guy addiction. A girl quickly rushes back with a pen and paper in hand, stretching it to the girl leaning on my shoulder.
Parker sits up, startled. "Lost your way?"
"Not at all, I just wanted your autograph." The girl replies shyly. Parker rolls over on the floor, laughing her ass off.
"You must be mistaken, do you have a slight ache in your head?" She says jokingly but the girl doesn't catch on, making Parker seem mean. Parker notices this.
"How bout we take a silly selfie instead? You're really pretty." She smiles widely. I think you're really pretty too.
The girl whispers something in her ear. Parker's blue eyes lifts to my brown ones. I smile at her. "Come join us, Romeo. You have fans."
