This story is inspired by the 2004 Phantom of the Opera movie and continues the events and characters as depicted there, but I hope you can enjoy it even if you prefer the other versions of the musical (which are also very dear to me.)

Act 1 is essentially a short story about the Phantom's heartbreak, whereas Act 2 gives us some insight into Christine's life with Raoul. Together, they form an introduction for the main plot. From Act 3 onward, the chapters start getting longer and the story more intense.
