The police don't believe me! They said that I needed better evidence, and that they weren't just going to believe any random stranger that calls them up. I told them exactly what I saw, but they wouldn't take me seriously.
I'm so annoyed that I throw my phone down on the desk. Too hard. I hear a cracking noise, and pick it up to see that the screen has been completely smashed. Oh well, my mum will buy me a new one next time she goes to town.
"Muuuuuum!"
"What do you want?"
"I need a new phone!"
"Ok I'm going into town tomorrow, I'll buy you that new one that came out yesterday."
"Thank you!"
That's a great advantage of being rich, I can have new stuff whenever I want.
"But why aren't you in bed?"
"What do you mea....oh" I look at the clock and see that it's 1:53am.
"Sorry, I'll go to sleep now!"
When I get up in the morning, my mum has already left to go shopping. I can't wait until she gets back, so I can try out my new phone. But in the meantime, I have nothing else to do, so I turn the tv on and watch films all morning.
I'm on my fifth film by the time my mum gets home. She comes upstairs and gives me my new phone.
"You can set it up yourself, can't you? You've had enough practice!"
This is true. I never mean to, but I always seem to manage to break my phones almost as soon as I get them. I dropped one down the toilet, I spilt coffee all over one of them, I dropped one down the stairs, I tripped over a wire from the vacuum cleaner and landed on top of one of them, and I have thrown a lot of them across rooms when I'm angry at something. The longest I've managed to keep a phone for is about 3 months. I turn it on, choose the language and start to put in my account details. When I've finished I start to play on it, and before long, my mum is telling me to go to bed.
"Katie! I think you should go to bed now, I know you don't like me telling you when to go to bed but I know that if you stay up past 12, you will be horrible in the morning."
"Ughhhhh. Ok I'm going."
I walk slowly up the stairs, I'm too tired to run, and get into bed.

I can hear my phone ringing. I look at the clock, it says 3:47. Why would someone call me this early? It's not one of my contacts, it's probably someone advertising something. I press the answer button,
"Hello?"
"Is this Katie?"
Their voice is very deep, so I'm pretty sure that it's a man and I feel like I've heard it before.
"How do you know who I am?"
"You called the police yesterday, didn't you?"
"Yes..." That's when I realise where I've heard his voice. He is one of the men from the woods.
"Hmm. You will wish you didn't. Just make sure you check the news tomorrow."
Before I have a chance to answer, he hangs up.
