(Music plays heavily in Pearl's room-track "unbroken" by discipline)
Mrs Jane: pearl ! (Yells from the kitchen) pearl !!!.. Who listens to something that loud ! That's it, am coming up there.. (Begins to walk upstairs)
(Music get louder) am coming out the other side unbroken !!!
Mrs Jane : (knocks on pearls door) pearl !!
(Music) oh oh oh !!! Am coming out unbroken
Mrs Jane: oh for heavens sake its a waste of time shouting from outside, oh Lord..hmmmm, I pray I survive in there!! (Opens the door and walks straight to pearl's sound system and switch's it off)
Pearl: hey!! (Gets up from bed and stands) you know you should've knocked atleast ?
Mrs Jane: (faces Jane) dont even get me started... What...are you kidding me..I knocked and yelled my lungs out young lady.. (Fold her hands over her chest) you know pearl its time you stop all this childishness, I mean for God sake its your birthday.. (Puts on a face of disappointment)
Pearl: (quietly says under her breath) I wish it was more of a death day..
Mrs Jane: ( shocked) what was that again.. (Breaths out) you know what get down stairs now.. (Points over the door)
Pearl : (looks into Janes eye's) you think its easy..huh..you think am just gonna jump off and eat cake over depression..over a phobia for fire..over a flipping panic attack!!!...why is so hard for you to stop the hope and move on.
Mrs Jane: (points a finger at Jane) I think that last question is for you to answer..of all days Pearl,.... today you hurt me the most, hell you hurt your late mum the most..am done talking here..(walks out and shuts the door)
