It's time to go to detention...yippee..

Killian and I met up by his locker so we could walk to detention together. We started walking to English class. My hands got sweaty and I got shakier with each step closer I took to the door.

We stopped walking right before we went to go into the classroom. Killian turned to me. "Are you alright." He said and raised an eyebrow.

I didn't say anything, but I nodded my head.

Killian opened the door for me and let me walk in first and he followed behind me. We sat down in the middle of the classroom. There was about 6 other people in here. Some of them looked around the classroom, incredibly nervous to be here, just like what I was doing. And the others were sitting there like they had been in detention a million times. Which, let's be honest, they probably have been.

I turned to Killian. "Maybe we should skip detention.." I said, quietly.

He gave me a smirk. "So, now you want to skip?"

"Yes! Look," I pointed towards the door. "There's the door. Now we should just stand up, and walk out of it. Please let's just go.." I said, desperately.

"Swan, we can't leave now. It'll be fine. All we have to do is sit here for 30 minutes. It's really not all that bad." Killian said, reassuringly.

I groaned in frustration. He's right. But I still don't want to be here..

The teacher soon came into the classroom with a cup of coffee in her hand. She sat down at her desk that was in the front of the class. "Detention starts now." She said and took a sip of her coffee.

Since I'll be here for half an hour, I decided to pull out a piece of paper and doodle. I started just drawing little hearts all of my paper and then started drawing different shapes and lines.

I looked over at Killian to see what he was doing. He was also doodling. But instead, he had written "Emma" in bold, bubble letters that filled the entire paper. He was making different designs and patterns in each letter. I was about to giggle but quickly covered my mouth with my hand to prevent anything from coming out.

I bit my lip and went back to doodling on my paper. I turned the paper over and started drawing a rose. And instead of little, simple flowers, I made it more detailed.

I had just finished shading the rose when I head the teacher say "Detention is over. You may all leave now."

I quickly stood up, as did Killian and everyone else in the room. I picked up my paper and backpack and Killian and I walked out of the classroom.

"See, it wasn't so bad, now was it?" Killian said as we walked down the hallway.

"Nope." I smiled at him.

Killian handed me the paper that he had drawn my name on. "I made you this." He said. I looked at the paper. Each letter had a different pattern in it.

"Thank you." I said, sweetly. I gave him a quick kiss on the lips. Although it was something as simple as writing my name in bubble letters, it made me happy. Just knowing that he spent that time making something for me, even if it was something he did while in detention..

"Wanna go to Granny's?" He asked me.

"Sure." I replied. "But only if we go in my car.. I don't want to ride on your motorcycle again."

Killian raised an eyebrow in smirked. I immediately realized what he was thinking.

"No no no! Not in that way!" I felt my face turn a dark shade of red.

He started laughing. "It's fine, love. But yes, we can go in your car."

A few minutes later, we got to my car and drove off to Granny's. We sat at a table that was meant for 2 people.

Not long after we had sat down at the table, Ruby came running up to our table. "Oh my gosh, you survived detention!" She shouted.

"Shut up, Ruby!" I blushed. "Now, be a good waiter and ask what we want.." I rolled my eyes as she laughed.

"Alright, asshole. What would our guys like to eat?" She said with a fake smile.

Killian chuckled. "Well, it's nice to see you too, Ruby. Anyways, I'll just have some water."

"Ok, and what would you like, Emma?" Ruby asked.

"I'll have some hot cocoa with cinnamon," I smiled.

"Mmk. Well, I'll have your shit out soon." She said and walked off. I rolled my eyes.

Killian reached over the table and tucked a strand of my blonde hair behind my ear. When he pulled his hand away, I caught a glimpse of his wrists. The numbers on his wrist. All the number are down to zero. For some reason, it made me smile.

Not long after, Ruby came back with our orders.

Killian and I just sat and talked for a while when a group of girls about a year or two younger then us walked into the diner. There was about 6 of them. Some of them were just staring and whispering about Killian and others were glaring at me.

It started to frustrate me but I tried to ignore it because Killian didn't even notice. But it soon got to the point to where I wanted to rip their hair out. I clenched my fists and was about to stand up when Killian put his hand on mine and shook his head.

"Leave them be." He said, quietly. So he did hear them..

I tried to relax. I unclenched my fists and sat back down. "Sorry.." I whispered.

"It's fine, love." He smiled at me.

After we finished our drinks, I started to drive Killian back to the school so he could get his motorcycle. Before we reached the school, I turned to him. "Hey, Killian?" I asked. "This probably seems rude to ask, but why don't we ever go to your house?"

I saw Killian tense. "It's just not in a very safe area.." He said through clenched teeth.

"I'm sure it's fine. Could we possibly go to your place over the weekend?" I asked, cautiously. I probably should just shut up..

"Emma, I just don't want someone taking you or hurting you. That's why I don't want you over," He said, sternly.

"I can take care of myself.."

He let out a sigh and ran his hand through his hair. "Maybe."

I started to regret even asking. He clearly doesn't want me over to his place, so why did I keep asking? I'm such an idiot. He's probably pissed at me now. And great. Now I'm overthinking everything.

Before I knew it, we were back at the school. I pulled into the parking lot, right next to Killian's motorcycle and I let him get out of my car.

He quickly got onto his motorcycle and sped off in the other direction. I sat there in my car for s few minutes. Why does he even care so much.. I mean, it really should be that big of s deal.

I soon decided to drive back to my house, while playing loud music in my car.
