I walked into school while basically dragging my backpack across the ground. I am extremely tired. I didn't get much sleep, thanks to Killian. No, he didn't spend the night at my house or something. But it was the thought of him.
I couldn't stop thinking about him. He's so..confusing! One minute he's being a jerk and I just want to punch him in the face and the next minute he's being sweet and kind and I just want to hug him. I don't know how to feel about him.
I walked into the lunch room where I knew my friends would be and walked to the table they were sitting at. I sat down and groaned then laid my head on the table.
"What's up with you?" I heard Regina say. Why couldn't she have just left me alone? Isn't it obvious that I'm tired?
"I barely slept last night." I said and rolled my eyes even though I knew she couldn't see my face. My tangled hair was all over my face. My hair is tangled because I slept in and had pretty much only 5 minutes to get ready so I didn't really have time to even brush my hair.
I heard a chair moving and someone stood up. The next thing I know, water is being spilled on my head.
"What the fuck!" I screamed and stood up to see Regina holding a water bottle that was now half empty. "Why the hell did you do that, Regina!"
"Regina! You idiot!" Mary Margret yelled and walked over to me.
"Hey, she needed to be woken up!" Regina shouted back at Mary Margret.
"That doesn't mean you should pour water on her!" Mary Margret grabbed my arm with her delicate hands. "Come on, Emma. Let's go to the bathroom to clean you up."
This is why I love Mary Margret. She always helps me out when Regina decides to be an ass. But at the same time, I love Regina for her bitchy-ness. I looked up to notice that Ruby wasn't here yet. Damn. I was hoping she would be here so she could help me look a little nicer. She always had a bit of makeup and a brush with her.
Mary Margret and I walked to the bathroom while Regina stayed at the table and played a game on her phone. Mary Margret helped me dry my hair and a bit of my shirt that got wet. Thankfully, she had a brush with her. I was surprised when she pulled out her light blue brush considering her hair is short and she is probably the one that would be least likely to need the brush in the middle of school.
I brushed my hair with her brush and then gave it back to her. "Thanks for helping me out." I said to Mary Margret.
"It's no problem." She replied sweetly while smiling at me.
When we walked out of the bathroom I saw Killian talking and laughing with some of his friends. The people that were with him were Smee, Jefferson, Robin and Peter. Robin was in the middle of saying something when Killian caught me staring at him. He looked right into my eyes and smiled and I smiled back.
"What is it?" Mary Margret said after she noticed I wasn't paying attention to her.
"Oh, nothing. Let's go back to the table." I said while biting my lip.
Sadly, Mary Margret knew it wasn't nothing and looked in the direction I was looking at. She looked back to me and smirked. "No, no. You go over there and talk to your man while I go back to the table."
I groaned in frustration when she walked off before I could protest. I turned back around and jumped in shock to see Killian standing right in front of me with a smirk on his face.
"No need to be startled, love. It's just me." He put his hand on my shoulder. I looked around to see people looking at us. Girls were glaring at me while boys were staring at Killian in shock.
"Killian, people are staring at us." I whispered. I'm not surprised people are looking at us. Seeing the bad boy of the school touching the girl that no one knows must be quite strange.
Killian put his hand on my cheek and I gasped when our skin touched. "It's fine, love. They'll get used to it."
I blushed at the fact that he told me they'll get used to it. Does that mean he's going to continue to talk to me? Continue to touch me? It just seems..odd. But at the same time, it feels right. That makes no since... I guess it's just because I'm not used to having someone care for me like him. Wait, does he care? Shit, I need to stop thinking.
I looked into Killian's sparkling blue eyes and smiled at him. "You look beautiful when you blush." He whispered to me. This made me blush even more.
"I-I need to get back to my friends." I said and bit my lip before running off back to the lunchroom where my strange friends are.
When I got back to the table I saw that Ruby had finally gotten to school. Or..maybe she has been here for a while but just decided not to come to the lunch table..she probably had..other things hag she was doing. The reason I'm thinking she has been at the school the entire time is because her hair is messy and there are hickeys on her neck. I chuckled at her. I'm not surprised. Ruby hasn't met her soulmate yet but she has slept with many of the guys at our school.
"So, what did Killian say?" Mary Margret said excitedly right when I sat down.
"Nothing, calm down." I giggled at her.
Ruby, Regina and Mary Margret's eyes all looked behind me. What? I then felt a hand on my shoulder. It startled me a little but bit then I felt someone put their lips by my ear and whisper. "For you, love." I recognized it to be Killian's voice. Before I could say anything, he handed me a folded up slip of paper and walked away.
"What is it?!" I heard Ruby say excitedly. I started to blush.
I carefully unfolded the note and read what it said.
My life changed on the day we met. You make me smile in a way that no one else can. You are my happy ever after.
~Killian.
I smiled to myself and bit my lip. What is Killian doing to me?
