I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I groaned and reached over to the little table next to my bed, grabbed my phone and turned it off. I laid back down on my bed and stared at the ceiling.

I really don't want to go to school. I know that I'll have to talk to Killian, my soulmate at some point and I'm not looking forward to it. Although, I know that if I try to avoid talking to him, the world will some how get us to talk to each other. Yes, I said that the world will try to get us to talk to each other. I've heard stories of people trying to avoid talking to their soulmate after they met them but somehow, they always end up having to talk to each other. No one knows why that happens, but it just does.

I thought that I should probably get out of bed, so I did. I sat up and put my feet on my soft carpet. I took a shower and changed into a skin tight, grey, long sleeved shirt that had a v-neck and some black skinny jeans. After I got dressed I brushed my teeth and put mascara, eye shadow and a bit of lipgloss on. I don't really like to wear a lot of makeup. After I did my makeup I put my hair into a messy bun.

When I was done getting ready I went downstairs and put black converse on. My mom isn't home right now because she has to leave early in the morning to go to work. She works at an ice cream shop and they open quite early so she has to get there early so she can prepare everything.

Once I got my shoes on I grabbed my keys and backpack and walked outside to go to my beautiful, yellow Volkswagen Beetle. It may look a bit old, but I absolutely love it.

It took me about 10 minutes to get to school. I parked as close to the school as I could get and got out of my car. I started walking to the school when I heard someone running up behind me. I turned my head to see Killian..

Oh god..what does he want..

He slowed down when he got next to me and started walking along by my side.

"Ah..hey, Emma. I..just wanted to apologize for yelling at you yesterday at the store.." He scratched behind his neck nervously.

"Oh, um..it's ok." I said. I didn't look at his eyes. I just looked at the ground and continued to walk to the school.

Once we got into the school I walked a bit faster so I could get away from him. Thank god Killian understood that I was uncomfortable so he let me walk off in a different direction then him.

Right away I went to find my friends. They were usually hanging out in the lunch room before school so that's where I went. When I got in the lunch room I looked around to try and find them and I saw all of them sitting at one of the tables, talking. I walked over to them and sat down next to Regina.

"Oh my gosh! Emma, tell us everything about him!" Mary Margret squealed in excitement.

"Oh..um..well..you know Killian?" I bit my lip nervously.

"Ya, he's hot! Now, what does this have to do with your soulmate?" Ruby said.

"Well..Killian is my soulmate." I said while messing with my fingers.

"What?! But he's like, the schools bad boy! You guys have nothing in common! Are you sure it's him?" Regina said with wide eyes.

"Yes, I'm sure it's him. And I know, I don't understand how we could be soulmates. He's just..so..different from me."

"I'm sorry, but that just doesn't seem possible. I'm going to be completely honest and say that I don't think he should be your soulmate." Regina said.

Ruby slapped her arm. "Don't be rude, Regina!"

Regina put her hands up in a defending way. "I'm just being honest."
