"Don't worry, it'll be over soon." Hinata coos, trying to calm down his crying sister, Natsu. "You promise?" Natsu sniffles, looking up at Hinata with hopeful eyes. "I promise, Natsu." Hinata said, a soft smile gracing his lips.
He could only hope and wish that there could be some type of truth behind his words. But there wasn't.
The world was ending and there was no stopping it from happening. They were currently huddled in a broken down abandoned house, trying to keep shelter. "Let's try to get some sleep, Natsu." Hinata sighed, hoping to at least get an hour or two of sleep. "Okay, Nii-Chan. Goodnight!" Natsu smiled. "Goodnight, Natsu." Hinata yawned, his eyes fluttering closed and drifting into a peaceful sleep.

Hinata quickly awoke to the sound of Natsu's scream. He jumped out up from his sleeping bag and ran in the direction of the screaming. "Natsu?!" Hinata yelled, barging into the dark room, Natsu curled into the corner of the room. "Nii-Chan, there was an explosion! It's too close!" Natsu cried, jumping into Hinata's arms. "It's okay, Natsu. We'll be fine, don't worry." Hinata sighed, wanting to go back to sleep. "But Nii-Chan!-." Natsu started but was quickly cut off when a loud explosion rang through the house and a soft rumble was felt below their feet. "Natsu, run. Run!" Hinata yelled as he grabbed Natsu's wrist and broke out into a sprint. They were only a mere foot from the door before the house collapsed on top of them, knocking Hinata unconscious.

When Hinata finally came back to consciousness, it took him a minute to gather in his surroundings. As he glances to the right, he sees a small group of people surrounding a limp body, Natsu's limp body. "She was useless. He's useless, why even bother with him?" A voice said. "We don't need to, let's just get out of here." another voice replies. As they start to run from the scene, Hinata quickly starts to crawl from under the slight rubble and over towards Natsu's body. "Natsu? Natsu, wake up! Natsu!" Hinata yelled, stinging tears streaming down his face gently. He continues to sob as he gently embraces her cold, unmoving body.
It was then that he finally felt the harsh slap of reality. It was then when he finally realized.
It was a kill or be killed reality.
