"So today, we're going on a raid. But for today, we're going to need someone to stay behind and keep a look out for any signs of survivors or zombies." Daichi explained, rubbing the back of his neck.
It was only the second time that the Captain had left someone to guard base, but there was a unsettling feeling of danger lurking in the air.
"I'll stay behind." Yamaguchi said, standing up. "Are you sure you'll be okay by yourself?" Noya asked, placing a hand on Yamaguchi's shoulder. "I'll be fine. You guys just go, I'll clean up everything." Yamaguchi smiled.
"Okay, we'll be back in a hour!" Daichi called as he and the others made their way out.

"Finally done..." Yamaguchi sighed, getting up from his knees.
During the small amount of time, he'd mopped, cleaned the dishes, washed the clothes and checked the radiation levels from the computer. "What else is there to do?" Yamaguchi said, looking around the gym.
Just as Yamaguchi was about to check the computer again, a loud explosion broke through the silence. "What the?!" Yamaguchi exclaimed, fog blinding his vision. Before Yamaguchi could comprehend what was happening, he was hit over the head; knocking him out.

As the team made their way back to base, they heard an explosion in the distance.
"D-Daichi, that was near the base." Suga said, worry clear in his voice. "We're almost there. Don't worry, Suga." Daichi spoke, trying to reassure the grey-haired teen. "Yeah, you're right." Suga sighed, still have a worrying aura around him.
"It'll be okay. Yamaguchi is strong, and he can hold his own." Tsukishima said, looking over at his senpai.
"Yeah, you're right Tsukishima." Suga smiled.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Yamaguchi, open up!" Tanaka yelled as he was making his way towards the doors, ahead of the rest of the team. As he neared closer, he noticed that the door was slightly ajar.
"Huh? This can't be right." Tanaka thought as he pushed the door open. The sight that greeted him when he walked in made his head feel dizzy and he felt bile rising in his throat.
On the wall, 'You better hurry or your friend is as good as dead', written in blood.
In Yamaguchi's blood

"How could've this happened? I shouldn't have left him by himself." Daichi said, his blood running cold in his veins. "It's not your fault, Daichi. You didn't know this was going to happen." Asahi spoke, gripping the former captain's shoulder. "That still doesn't change the fact that I let him stay behind, by himself." Daichi yelled, tears welling up in his eyes.
To Daichi, his teammates were his family. But here he was, standing while Yamaguchi was missing, probably hurt....or dead.
"Everything's going to be okay, don't worry. We'll find Yamaguchi, and he'll be safe and sound." Suga cried, rubbing Daichi's back reassuringly.
As the others saw Suga and Daichi break down, tears began to cloud their vision as they started to cry. "We'll find him, don't worry. He'll be okay." Ennoshita sniffed, wiping away his stray tears.
"Yeah." Daichi nodded.

It had been over a week and a half since Yamaguchi was kidnapped. Each morning, they would scout the area for any signs of the freckled teen; finding nothing to help find him.
"Damn it!" Daichi yelled, punching the closest wall to him. "Daichi, calm down! We're going to find him, so don't give up!" Suga said, grabbing Daichi's wrist to make sure he didn't punch the wall again.
"Don't worry, Daichi-san! We're close, I can feel it!" Hinata said, calming down his raging senpai.
"I hope so...."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[Note: The next chapter starts off in Yamaguchi's point of view. Be warned, I'm a very poopy writer, so bear with me. But I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Bye~.]
