It had been over 2 years since the world turned to shit. It had been over 2 years since he lost Natsu. It was a memory that plagued his mind ever since it happened. He had only wished that he could've saved her, he had only wished that he could've died instead of her.
After Natsu's death, he felt as if he was the reason Natsu died. He felt weak, tired and cold.
As if I'm dead...I'm already on the inside, it won't be too long until I'm actually dead.
Ever since that day, the only thought in his mind was that. It wasn't easy but he continued on. He knew it would be the one thing she wanted him to do.
It had been the only thing that had kept him going. Two weeks after Natsu's death, he had left. He had hoped to find some other survivors.
Specifically, the Karasuno Volleyball Team.
"It would have to take a miracle to find them. I only hope that they're okay and alive." Hinata whispered softly, his body trembling. He continued to walk until he came upon an abandoned mini-mart. The small building looked like it would collapse at the slightest touch. 'But I still need food. But is it really worth the risk?' Hinata sighed mentally. 'To hell with it, I'm not gonna starve to death'. He slowly crept into the store, making sure to keep his balance so he didn't fall.
"Thank God, there's still food in hell hole of a world." Hinata sighed, quickly grabbing the food and stuffing it into his backpack. 'Maybe there's deodorant in the back. Gonna need it to cover up this horrid stench.' Hinata thought while taking a whiff at his underarms. Hinata sighed as he began his travel to the back of the building. As he was walking, he heard small plopping noises, then an eerie creak above him. 'Better hurry if I wanna get out of here alive.' Hinata thought, his pace picking up gradually with each step.
'Why does this place seem so...off? It's like someone set this as a booby-trap.' Hinata thought cautiously as he was stuffing his backpack with deodorants, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes. 'At least there's still some type of hygiene products in this hell.' Hinata sighed wearily.
It had been over a year since the Calamity began. It had started with only minimal signs, such as the air smelling different, acid rain coming more frequently. The major sign was whenever the was setting, it looked like the sky was covered in blood. It never really dawned on Hinata until it finally happened. People started dying out of nowhere, the air reeking of dead corpses, rashes marking the body, looking as if someone took a bite out of their skin and others getting so sick that their eyes bled and exploded in their skull. He was lucky to have survived this long. He knew as long as he didn't touch anything or anyone that was infected.
He could only hope that he could see a better world, one that was safe and non-infected. He could only hope this world could find a cure to help this world. But besides that, there was still the issue of the ongoing war that had broke out 4 months after the Calamity began. The world was fighting against each other over such stupid things, but we only had ourselves to blame for the current situation. Maybe, just maybe, we could fix our world and restore it's greatness again.
A loud and sudden creak broke Hinata from his thoughts. 'Better hurry.' Hinata sighed mentally.
In only two seconds, the building started tumbling to the ground. "Shit!" Hinata cursed as he was running towards the door. But he was too late.
He was about two feet from the door when a part of the ceiling fell on top of him, pinning him to the ground as the building came down on him.
Is this really how it all ends?
