"Guys, wake up. We need to keep moving." Suga sighed, shaking the others awake.
"Huh? What's going on?" Noya yawned, his words slightly slurred together. "We need to get moving. Come on." Suga cooed softly, rising to his feet. "I have a feeling that we may find something today. Question is, what?" Daichi sighed, shoulders hunched.
"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. For now, we need to keep moving." Suga sighed, slinging his backpack over his shoulder.
"Yeah. Let's hurry before it gets dark. It's only 5:45pm, so we have some leeway." Daichi said, looking down at his watch.
"Okay!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Daichi-san, please hold on a minute." Tsukishima whispered, his voice low as he lightly sniffed the air.
"What's wrong?" Suga frowned, his stomach doing nervous back flips as he watched Tsukishima. "The air, it smells weird. Like burning rubber and corroded metal." Tsukishima said, his eyes scanning the nearby buildings. "The acid rain..." Hinata spoke up. "Yeah." Tsukishima said.
"Wait, Tsukki. Do you hear that? It sounds like a car." Yamaguchi said, his voice a hushed whisper.
Listening closely, a faint hum of an engine was heard in the distance.
"Who the hell...?" Daichi spoke.
"The military. They're probably looking for any other survivors in the nearby area." Tsukishima sighed, his head throbbing. "But the main question is, what are they doing with the survivors?" Yamaguchi asked aloud, his eyes scanning the area for trucks or military vehicles.
"What do you mean by that?" Asahi asked, his eyes questioning.
"By what Tsukki's overheard when he went to the military base with his Dad, it seems as if they were trying to plan something. Something like what's happening now. So what I'm saying is that, the military could have started this war." Yamaguchi sighed, rubbing his eyes. "But why? I really don't think the Military would try to do something like this. It's not adding up properly." Hinata sighed, the skin under his eyes dark, bags of oil sinking his skin. "If you think as if you were the rich, it would seem like the perfect chance to overthrow the weak. Kill off the useless people, and only use the valuable assets to use as slaves." Daichi wondered, his voice questioning the probable and actual cause. "That's the mind set, it will be until the people who started this have their power. The power that they want." Tsukishima sighed.
"But there is a way to try and stop it. It's basically a suicide mission, but I think it's worth it." Yamaguchi said, his voice resonating through every one's mind; everyone slowly but surely processing what the younger male said. "No." Tsukishima said, his tone final. "But, Tsukki! Isn't it a risk worth taking? A risk that would end this, a risk that would save the world?" Yamaguchi asked, standing tall as he stood his ground against his boyfriend (I love saying that, it's a happy though for me).
"I'm not risking your life, Tadashi. I won't take that risk, for you or the family." Tsukishima glowered, eyes boring a hole into Yamaguchi's own eyes. "It's not your decision, Tsukki! It's mine, and only mine! If there's a way to stop this, I'd like to actually try instead of pissing out like a little pussy!" Yamaguchi yelled, his anger spiking at Tsukishima's words. "So you're willing to risk your life for a cause that you know is fucking and extremely dangerous?!" Tsukishima yelled, grabbing Yamaguchi's hands roughly. "I'd rather die a hero that is willing, than a chicken that's only talk but never actually doing a god damn thing!" Yamaguchi cried, his hands balled into fists as he shook with rage. "So you're saying I should just sit back and watch you die as I coward out?!" Tsukishima yelled as he gripped Yamaguchi's wrists in a vice grip. "I'd at least like to know if I don't make it, my family does! That my damned lover lives to see the sun again!" Yamaguchi cried, tears pouring from his eyes as he rested his head on Tsukishima's chest as he sniffed.
"Lover?" Suga asked, his eyes lit up with curiosity; a slight tinge of wicked mirth showing in his eyes as he stared at the pair.
"Eh?! Ah!" Yamaguchi blanched, his brain processing what he just said out loud. "So, who's your lover? Any type of discussion we need to have right now?" Suga asked, eyeing the two teens. "I'm his lover. Me and Yamaguchi are dating." Tsukishima said, his eyes filled with happiness and a unknown emotion. "Told you." Noya smirked, looking over at Suga and Daichi. "Well, your point is now proven so I guess I should give you more credit on it." Suga smiled, his voice almost sounding as if he was singing as he spoke. "H-How did you even know?!" Yamaguchi cried, his face red.
"Tsukishima told us last night. You were asleep." Daichi and Suga said, their words synchronizing with each other's. "E-Eh?! Tsukki!" Yamaguchi blushed, his face hidden within his hands. "Well, I guess it's time we also came out." Suga smiled, hand in Daichi's tight grip.
"We knew about you two from the very beginning. It was actually too obvious how you guys felt about each other, even before then, we still knew." Tanaka shrugged, looking as the rest of the team nodded in mock acknowledgment.
"What?!" Suga screeched, hiding his face behind Daichi's back. "No need to feel embarrassed. Me and Asahi are dating too." Noya smiled, a soft red blush darkening across his face and cheeks as he looked over at a happy Asahi. "So are we." Hinata smiled happily, waving his hand as he snuggled into Kageyama's chest.
"Chikara? Ryuu?" Noya smirked as he stepped in front of the two dazed and slightly confused males.
"Wh-What are you talking about? I highly doubt Tanaka feels the same about me." Ennoshita whispered to a smug Noya. "Ask him. By the look of it, he's nervous because he thinks we're talking about him. Which, of course, we are." Noya laughed softly as he patted Ennoshita's shoulder. "I can't. If I do that and he doesn't feel the same way, I'm ruining his trust and our friendship." Ennoshita said, his eyes nervous.
Before Ennoshita could speak again, Tanaka softly called out for him so he could talk to him.
"Ennoshita? Do you mind if we talk in private for a minute?" Tanaka asked, his cheeks tinted pink. "Yeah, o-of course." Ennoshita blushed, following behind Tanaka where ever he was walking.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"So Tanaka, what did you need to talk about?" Ennoshita asked, almost bumping into Tanaka's back.
"Do you like me?" Tanaka asked, his cheeks tinted pink. "W-Why d-do ask? Did Noya or the others say anything about it?" Ennoshita asked, trying to confuse Tanaka out of the present conversation. "Ennoshita, please just answer the question." Tanaka sighed, his face only centimeters from poor embarrassed Ennoshita. Not really one to want to voice his feelings, he nodded quickly.
"I'm sor--" Ennoshita said, but was cut off by Tanaka's lips caressing his softly. Backing away, Tanaka smiled as he hugged Ennoshita tightly. "Will you be my boyfriend, Chikara? From now, and until I take my last breath in this world?" Tanaka asked softly, his hands cupping Ennoshita's cheeks as he smiled happily. "Yes!" Ennoshita cried, jumping into Tanaka's wide and welcoming arms as the two kissed once again.
As the two pulled in for another kiss, a familiar voice startled the couple.
"Seems like they just got married, jeez you two." Daichi snickered sweetly. "It brings a tear to my eye. So beautiful." Noya said, pretending to cry as Asahi sighed. "Congratulations, Tanaka-senpai!" Hinata cheered as he jumped happily, Kageyama being the poor victim of a flying hand (poor bird Kags). "It's about time." Tsukishima nodded, his arm wrapped around Yamaguchi's shoulder as the brown eyed smiled softly.
"Tanaka?" Ennoshita asked softly, his voice soft. "Yeah, Chikara?" Tanaka replied, his arms wrapping around the shorter male's waist. "I love you. I will always love you." Ennoshita blushed, a sweet smile lighting Tanaka's face.
"I love you too, Chikara Ennoshita."
