James
"Hey sis." I mumbled as I climbed into her van. Abby, my sister, grunted a response while driving away from the school, thus ending our conversation for the day.
"We've gotta pick up Hannah and Blake from track, and Mia from her trumpet lesson." She said quietly, her usual setting. I didn't respond, instead choosing to attempt to sleep until 3 more of my eight siblings entered the car.
My parents are those strange people that wanted a gigantic family. There are currently eight, soon to be nine of us as of right now. First came Abby, Hannah, and Blake. They're triplets, if you haven't guessed, and are sixteen. Then came Jennifer, who is thirteen, me, a twelve-year-old, Mia, a ten-year-old, Gabriel and Jonathan, the evil twins, who are in second grade, and Brianna, who is three. Baby Girl is soon to be born, in about a month and a half.
Abby suddenly brakes, jolting me. Her middle finger went up, flicking off Blake, who was running in front of the car, making stupid faces. I laughed at this, as it reminded me of Julie, and how against cursing she was. Abby shot me a dirty look, her long, auburn hair whipping around as she turned her head. I grinned sheepishly, and her grey eyes narrowed a bit before turning around.
"Bro, I heard you've got a girlfriend?" Blake said as he climbed into the backseat of the car and ruffled my hair.
"Well, yeah." I smiled a bit, causing Hannah, who had climbed in the back seat after Blake, to snort. "What's it to you, Blondie?" I growled, looking over at her. She smirked.
"Well, most middle school relationships don't work out, especially sixth grade ones. So I hope you aren't expecting much from her." She said, knowing she was making me mad.
"Fuck off, Hannah. No one likes you, anyways. I mean, at least I have a girlfriend." I taunted back, making her even angrier then she had made me.
"Well, you little Fu-"
"Shut up! Both of you!" Abby shrieked, startling us both, as Abby rarely spoke above a whisper. She was a stereotypical nerd, with brown-framed glasses, braces that are soon to come off, and a mild case of acne. She got all her homework done days before it was due, and constantly had a book in her hand. She's the exact opposite of Blake and Hannah, who are both loud and obnoxious. Especially Hannah.
"Aw, James has got himself a widdle girlfwend!" Blake cooed mockingly, reaching over the seat to pinch my cheek. I slapped him, and he laughed, making me even angrier.
The next stop Abby came to, I climbed over the scuffed center console into the passenger seat. Leaning back onto the coarse seat, I promptly fell asleep.
Well, I stayed asleep until I heard Hannah screech in pain.
Keeping my eyes closed, I smirked, knowing exactly what had made her scream that way.
Mia's trumpet case had once again managed to hit her in the shins.
Good riddance.

Julie
"Hey! You, girl, Julie?" I turned around, confused as to was calling me. James turned around with me, and groaned when he saw the pretty brunette girl with hauntingly grey eyes.
"You're Julie?" The girl looked me up and down, the snorted.
"Jennifer, go away." James sighed
"I'd rather not, little bro. I want to meet you're new 'girlfriend'" She said bit...meanly, giving James a look of pure loathing.
"Wait... This is your sister?" I turned to James, questioning. He smiled a bit.
"Sadly, yes. Julie, this is my bitch-of-a-sister, Jennifer. Jennifer, you aren't allowed to be introduced to Julie. Now, please go away." He all but snarled at Jennifer.
"I already told you, Jamie-poo, I'm not leaving any time soon. Now, Julie, your name is?" She turned to me, obviously angering James with her nickname.
"Um, yeah." I said nervously, a bit scarred of this girl.
"Julie, let's leave." James whispered into my ear, sending goose bumps down my neck. I shivered.
"Ju-lie. Pretty generic name. So, Lee lee, what do you see in this idiot of a boy?" She asked, wrapping her arm through mine. James was gently tugging me in the opposite direction, officially making me a human tug-of-war.
"Um, he's nice to me, and he usually is sweet, and he's fun to talk to and- Oh, will both of you knock it off?" I said, pulling my arm from the both of them. "you're acting like two year olds, not a twelve and-"
"Thirteen." Jennifer interrupted. I shot her a look, and the continued.
"Thirteen. Now, unless you decide to quit fighting, for at least five minutes, I'm leaving." I crossed my arms across my chest, tapping my foot. It felt kinda stupid, but that's what people do in movies when they're waiting, right?
They looked at each other, and Jennifer stalked off, flicking the both of us off behind her back. James muttered an apology at her back, making me smile, then frown.
"Your sister is mean." I said, reaching out to hold his hand. He nodded his agreement, and began to walk towards my first class, as the bell had just rang.
Outside the classroom, James turned around to face me.
"All of my elder siblings are annoying and usually jerkish. Don't take it to heart." I hugged him, as his face looked so sad as he thought about his siblings.
Pulling back, he made a funny face.
"You're lucky to be an only child." He muttered before walking off to his next class. I watched him walk for a while before turning into my classroom.
