After I finished making dinner for Caleb he ate in silence. He seemed distracted and wasn't really paying attention to what I was asking him. When he finished eating he just went up to his room without a word leaving me by myself in the kitchen.
I wonder what was wrong with him, he seemed fine when I saw him in the forest. He did seem to be over thinking things in his head.
I shrugged the matter off and went up stairs to take a shower. I wanted to just close my eyes and think about Senai. I could only dream, he still wasn’t giving into us.
When I was done with my shower, I dressed up and walked over to the balcony. I smiled and breathed in the fresh air and I looked up at the sky.
It was a beautiful night. The stars were shining so bright, and the full moon’s gleam couldn’t make this night any better.
For once I felt relaxed and kind of happy. I closed my eyes and savored the moment, until my ears detected noise. I opened my eyes to look at what it was, and there was Senai. He starred at me with his hazel eyes.
I smiled and waved at him but he turned around and growled.
Hm, rude. First time I wave at him and he totally ignores me. I sighed and closed the balcony doors walking back into the room. I layed down on my bed and cuddled into my pillows, it’s been a tiring long day and sleep immediately found me.
I was awoken by a voice who annoyingly and repeatingly was calling out my name. I covered my ears and groaned but the voice was even more annoying.
I opened my eyes and sat up to yell at whoever was pissing me off and found myself looking at Jess.
“Hello!” She screamed and scared the hell out of me.
I screamed from being startled and jumped up which made me fall off the bed.
My sensitive hearing was not capable of supporting something so high pitched, loud and annoying.
“Ow ow.” I moaned in pain as I rubbed my head.
“Oh My God, are you okay?” Jess said as she rushed over to me.
I rubbed my aching head as I turned to look at her.
“Are you trying to kill me?” I asked her, and slowly began to stand up.
“Aw, I didn’t mean for you to get startled like that.” She said.
I sighed and sat back down on the bed looking up at her, but then after a few seconds she sat down beside me.
“Sorry, I was going to ask you if you wanted to go to the mall with me. I am getting a little stressed out and I need to get my mind off things for a few hours. Being the pack doctor sure takes a lot of me.” She said.
I could really use a day to just hang out with a girl, I also needed to get my mind off Senai for a bit to.
I nodded lightly and looked at her saying, “Alright, let me get ready and I will go with you.”
“Thanks Aleya.” She said as her dark brown eyes found mine and a smile formed upon her lips.
“Don’t worry, I need this just as much as you do.” I said and smiled back at her.
I went to the drawer and pulled out some casual clothes. I walked into the bathroom and began to put my clothes on and fix my hair.
I also really wanted to buy something for me, but I didn’t have any money with me. I sighed and stepped out of the room.
I couldn’t see Jess around and I turned around to look for her and I found her standing there in the balcony.
Her sensitive hearing must’ve sensed that I was here because she turned around to look at me.
