Unexpected love

Chapter 3

The day was finally over and Emma and Killian dismissed their students. They still hadn't talked to each other since they kissed. Emma got her jacket and purse and was heading out the door when Killian came up in front of her.

"Um so about that kiss...", Killian said as he trailed off.

"What about it?", Emma asked.

"Well I don't really know what it means...i-I mean does it mean something or...?"

"Killian it was a one time thing. It didn't mean anything I was just trying to explain and show our students how they should kiss no matter how much they hate each other...why? Are you still thinking about it?", she asked with a confused look on her face.

"Pff...no", Killian chuckled trying to hide that he actually thought it meant something. "Of course not...how can we ever be a couple?", he chuckled scratching the back of his ear and looking down at the floor.

"Ok good", Emma said as she walked out.

"Yea", Killian said as his smile quickly faded away when she left. "How can we ever be a thing?", he asked himself.

Killian had no idea what was going in with him. All of a sudden he was feeling something for Emma and would think she looked beautiful in everything she wore. He loved how she smiled,laughed,looked,and even talked. He loved it when she got mad. He thought it was the cutest thing ever. He was just a fan of every part of her.

Meanwhile, Emma had no idea that Killian was feeling this for her. She always night if him as just a guy that she now worked with. I mean sure she thought he was hot but still wasn't that interested.

Since it had already been two weeks, Emma and Killian were able to adjust and become a little bit of friends. They were already feeling comfortable working together and has their laughs.

Killian had been on a dating website for a couple months and finally found someone who was a match. He was sitting on his couch watching tv when he got a notification from his phone.

"A new match is here!
                       Request from Milah"
Killian swiped up and looked at her pictures. She had long black hair with beautiful blue eyes. "Oooo", Killian thought to himself as he hearted her account. They started texting and ended up planning a date for the next day.

Killian and Emma were getting their things together and getting ready to leave the auditorium. "I am so freaking hungry", Emma told Killian as he laughed. "Wanna go to that burger place around the corner? I can really use some food in my system", she said with a smile as she put her jacket on. "Oh sorry I can't. I'm going on a date", Killian said with an awkward smile. Emma suddenly felt a sharp and painful feeling as she thought of the idea of Killian with another woman. It was jealousy. "O-oh that's um...g-great!", she said forcing a smile. "Yea. I should get going. See you tomorrow?', he asked. "Yup", Emma said trying to act like she was completely ok with  Killian going out with someone else.
