Hazel's POV
I found that certain memories were escaping my mind. I couldn't remember how I got to Theo's house. I couldn't remember how long I'd been here. I couldn't remember who I'd met, my friends...anyone. I kept getting these phone calls from someone called "Caspar Lee" who had two heart emoticons next to his name. Eventually I got tired of my phone constantly buzzing and just picked up the phone.
"Hello?" I said in a cross tone.
"Hazel!" A voice with a heavy accent replied.
"Sorry, but, erm, how to you know my name?"
"Hazel, it's Caspar."
"Once again, I apologize, but please," I paused, "Don't call me again."
+++++
"Good morning beautiful." Theo turned his head up from his breakfast, smiling.
"Morning." I ran my hand through my messy hair and smiled back at him.
"How'd you sleep?"
"Good, you?"
"Amazing." Theo winked.
I chuckled and grabbed a box of cereal from the cabinet above the fridge. The milk carton was very light when I picked it up. I emptied it into my bowl of cereal and added milk to the grocery list.
+++++
"Bye Theo!" I yelled, turning to door handle.
"Bye!" Theo's voice sounded from upstairs.
I usually didn't like going to the grocery store but I didn't mind today as I just wanted to get out of the house. As I was looking for Theo's stuff that he'd put on the list when a couple walked up to me.
"Hazel?" The girl asked. She was pretty, she had short, dark blonde hair with highlights and deep hazel eyes.
"Um, do I know you?" I asked, confused.
"It's Kelsey." She said.
"I don't think I know a Kelsey." I replied.
"Kelsey..." The boy interrupted, grabbing Kelsey's hand.
"No, Jackson, this is my friend Hazel."
"We have to go Kelsey. We don't want to run into Joe or Caspar." Jackson continued.
"Wait, Caspar Lee?"
"Yes!" Kelsey let go of Jackson's hand and grabbed both of mine.
"No, erm," I pulled my hands out of the girl's grasp, "that guy wouldn't stop calling me."
"Oh, um, well, let's just not talk about this okay? Caspar would kill me if I told him I saw you and didn't you take home."
"Couldn't I just have taken myself home?"
"Well based off of our current conversation I'm guessing you wouldn't come willingly."
"Of course I'd come, but I'd have to tell Theo that we'd have company." I replied.
"Right okay..." Kelsey's voice faded away.
"Kelsey, we really need to go." The blonde haired boy ushered Kelsey along.
"Okay, um, bye Hazel." Kelsey grabbed Jackson's hand again.
"Bye."
+++++
"Thanks again for helping me put all the groceries away." I threw away a wad of plastic bags.
"No problem." Smiled Theo.
We both just stood in the kitchen for a while, not saying much.
"Do you want to watch a movie or something?" I offered.
"Sure." Theo replied.
+++++
We had just started the movie and Theo grabbed my hand and I rested my head on his shoulder. The movie was quite short and I knew it wasn't very late but I drifted in and out of sleep.
"Hazel," Theo woke me, "do you want me to make dinner?"
"No," I shook my head, "I want you to stay here."
"Trust me, I want to stay, but I'm hungry and you must be too."
"If you want to stay then stay." I said softly, grabbing the collar of Theo's shirt and pulling him closer to me.
"I guess I could stay for a little bit longer." Theo said right before his lips connected with mine.
