I woke up the next morning with a plan. I changed, grabbed my keys and strode out the door. Heading on my way to the store, I thought about what I was going to do. When I got there I bought a gallon of white and orange paint. I hurriedly walked back to my apartment, excited to start my project. Not too long after I arrived at my apartment, there was a knocking on my door. I answered it to see Caspar leaning against the door frame.
"Hi Caspar." I greeted.
"Hey." He responded. "What are you doing?"
"I was going to paint my room."
"You know you can't do that, right?"
"It's fine. I already asked the landlord and he said he didn't care as long as I didn't make a mess of the apartment."
"Okay, sure, need some help?"
"I would love some help actually."
"Well, Miss Hazel Creston, Caspar Lee is at your hand." He smiled and bowed down.
"Oh stop it." I grabbed his arm and pulled him to my empty bedroom. He grabbed a paint brush and I grabbed a roller. Tape already lined the walls as we began to color the walls white. Soon enough, we'd already finished the east wall of my bedroom. We started on the next wall and with his paint covered brush, Caspar smiled mischievously and wiped the paint all over my nose. I laughed and rubbed the paint off with the back of my hand. Smiling, I grabbed a handful of paint out of the bucket and smudged it all against Caspar's face. He laughed and wetted his paint brush again, he swept the paint all over my face, leaving a giant white streak on my cheeks and nose. I gave him a shocked expression and went cross eyed as if to see the paint on my nose. When Caspar saw that I wasn't looking he stole the roller from the floor, it was dripping over his feet with paint.
"Don't you dare!" I laughed.
"Why not?" Caspar stepped closer to me, holding the roller threateningly close to my body.
"I swear if you..." He stepped closer. "Caspar!" Closer. "No! Caspar!" I laughed harder the closer he got to me. "Caspar, don't you even think-" He stepped so close I could feel his breath on my face. The roller was no longer in front of Caspar but at his side. I expected it to move but it stayed there as he looked at me. I attempted to avoid eye contact with him but his free hand moved to my cheek and forced my to look at him. We shared a glance before Caspar's lips landed on my own. My hands moved to Caspar's neck as he dropped the paint roller to the plastic covered floor. The paint can rested on the table next to us as we kissed. I discretely dipped my hand into the paint and wiped the paint all over Caspar's face. He broke the kiss as he stared at me in shock and I laughed at his expression.
"We need to finish this so I don't have to sleep on my couch tonight." I smiled and grabbed the roller from the floor.
"There's a guest room at my place." Caspar said and kissed me again. We obviously weren't going to finish painting before the day ended. I smiled into the kiss as Caspar's hands rested on my hips.
