A/N Pure Fimanda fluff based in the prompt "I need you" by @Madxgoon

They had gone out again tonight, they had gotten ice cream at the Frozen Slab and watched the sun go down in the park. They held hands and talked with complete ease, and yet, Amanda sank down on the couch completely unsure if they were dating or not. Tonight had certainly felt like a date, heck, they even matched unintentionally, her in a dark blue sundress with a daisy print and Finn in a white t shirt and dark jeans. But they had never been official, always just "more than friends". Amanda sighed and leaned back, was she a terrible person for wanting it to be more than that?

She kicked herself for not bringing anything about it up tonight, they had sat on the hill in the sunset and talked. It had been very romantic but she didn't talk about their relationship status, then again neither did Finn. He hadn't said anything, at one point she thought he might kiss her, but he turned his head to the other side and cleared his throat. Amanda closed her eyes in frustration. She wished it wasn't so undefined, she cared so deeply for him, she loved him, but she didn't know how to say it.

She glanced at the clock and noticed the time. It was late, she sighed and started to head upstairs. There was no use in going over the same thoughts. She just thought something would happen tonight, it had felt different.

Tonight had felt different. She had looked so pretty and spending the time alone with her in the sunset, it had been magical.

He shook his head, he should of kissed of her, he should of told her how much she meant to him. He almost had kissed her, at one moment, but he chickened out last minute, what if she rejected him? He let himself in the house and turned on the kitchen light. He sat at the table eating a bag of microwave popcorn and tried to shove away the thoughts of Amanda. It wasn't working. The night replayed in his mind. He was an idiot. Finn glanced at his watch, grabbed his keys and ran out the door.

Amanda had just taken off her shoes when she heard a knock. She tensed, who was here so late? She cautiously went downstairs and looked into the peephole. What was Finn doing here? In spite of herself her heart started doing back flips at just the sight of him.

She opened the door.

"Hi, what are you doing here?" She asked.

"I needed to talk to you."

She couldn't read his expression, which was unusual,

"Sure, let's sit on the porch." She said leading them to a bench.

"Amanda, I can't do this anymore...I keep trying but...the truth is..." He stumbled through his words and her heart started sinking.

"What are you saying?" Amanda asked, almost afraid to know the answer.

"I'm trying to say, what we've been doing isn't working."

"Are you saying we can't be friends?" Amanda asked incredulously.

"What!? NO!" Finn exclaimed groaned.

"What I'm trying to say is- Amanda I need you. And I need you to know, just how much I need you. I need you to know I love you. And when I say I can't do this anymore, I mean I can't spend one more moment with you, without you as my girlfriend. Without you as the one I'm going to love forever."

"Finn...I need you too..." Amanda said, overwhelmed. No one had ever told her she was loved, that she was needed.

Finn smiled. "Can I kiss you?" He asked hesitantly.

Her breath caught, she barely nodded and leaned in slightly. Finn's lips softly brushed her own.

Finn decided that kissing Amanda was like jumping of a cliff only to be caught in a cloud; a terrifying rush that ended in sweet sweet bliss.

Amanda pulled away first.

"You know, it's about time..." She said, eyes dancing.

"I somehow don't think, that was what Wayne meant..." He joked.

Finn laughed, and pulled her to him, she rested her head on his chest.

Tonight was definitely different.

A/N Sorry if it was a little Out of Character, I'm just DYING over certain fanfiction authors (you know who you are) that are causing me pain by writing my poor ray of sunshine Finn suffering. I needed to write something cute and fluffy!
