Part Twenty-One

I woke up to see Nate sound asleep next to me. I gently got out of bed and pulled his vest top over my head before heading down to the kitchen. I switched the light on, poured myself a glass of water and grabbed a couple of pain killers. I never liked hangovers, I didn’t even know I had drunk that much. Just as I was finishing up my glass of water I felt two arms wrap around me, “It’s four in the morning, what are you doing up?” he asked me. “I woke up and came down to sort out my hangover” I said as I turned to face him. Only to notice he wasn’t wearing anything. “Aren’t you cold?” I asked him. He shook his head, “The flat’s warm enough” he said as he started to kiss my neck and nibble my ear. “You know what? I might go home; I haven’t been home in a few days and…” “Stop making excuses not to sleep here, you’ve done it a million times” he said as he picked me up and sat me on the breakfast bar. I had one leg on either side of him as he kissed me passionately. I wanted to push him off and tell him I wasn’t the kind of girl who did it in the kitchen, but I couldn’t help but want him as I felt him brush against me.

I was making Nate and myself breakfast and coffee as there was a knock on the door. “I’ll get it!” I heard Nate shout from the livingroom. I didn’t say anything as I heard Jason and Brenton laugh. I shook my head as I pulled out two extra mugs for them. I had only made it to the kitchen door when I heard Jason say. “So was that hot blonde a good kisser Nate? Jaz will not be happy with you” “What?” Nate said. “Don’t you remember, you snogged that really hot waitress?” Brenton asked. I didn’t want to hear anymore so I grabbed my bag off of the work surface; made sure I had everything and walked out of the flat. “Hey where are you going?” I heard Nate ask me. I ignored him and opened the door and slammed it shut. I ran down the stairs and threw myself against the exit and leant against the wall, trying not to cry. I started to cross the road only for to hear my phone ringing. I rummaged in my bag and found it at the bottom, Nate flashed on the screen. I got to the other side of the road and rammed it back in my bag.

Nate’s POV

“What’s her problem?” Brenton asked as he stood next to Jason. “Oh no what if she heard us?” Jason said jokingly. “Don’t joke about that!” I hissed as I picked up my phone and looked for her number. I pressed call and waited, but she didn’t answer, it just went to straight to voicemail. “You’ve reached Jaz; leave a message after the beep and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can, thanks, bye” I heard the beep, “Jaz it’s me, call me when you get this, I don’t know what’s happened but let’s talk about it, I love you, bye” I hung up and looked at the boys before heading upstairs to change into something decent to wear.

I was sat in Costa when my phone started to ring again. I looked at the screen to see I had a voicemail and Crissi was calling me. “Hey Crissi!” I said fighting back tears. “Hey! We’re back, can you come pick us up from the airport please?” she said. “I don’t have a car” I chuckled. “Borrow Dan’s, he did give you a spare key didn’t he?” she asked me. “Yeah but I haven’t driven in a long time” I said remembering why I was still abit scared of cars. I was okay if Dan or Crissi or Nate or even Steven was with me, I knew I was safe with them. “Please? I don’t wanna get a taxi” it was Dan. I sighed, “Okay I’ll pick you up” I said “Thank you” he said as he put Crissi back on. “Cheers, it’s in the garage” she said “I know” “Just making sure, can’t wait to see yah again!” she said hanging up. I grabbed my bag and decided to listen my voicemail. “Jaz it’s me, call me when you get this, I don’t know what’s happened but let’s talk about it, I love you, bye” I sighed as I walked to Dan and Crissi’s.
