Jack’s POV
I climbed into Jared’s car wearing a white halter top, blue jeans and my jean jacket with reddish brown faux fur trim. Jared got into the driver’s seat and turned on the car. “How are you feeling?” he asked.
“I’m fine a little queasy but that’s whatever”, I said putting on my seatbelt.
“Maybe you should go lay down for awhile”, he asked concerned.
“Jared I’m going to the fair I’m fine and there’s bathrooms there it’s just extended school time”, I said seriously.
“Jacky please you shouldn’t did stressing yourself out on purpose”, he said taking out the key.
“Jared, either start the car and you go take a nap”, I said angrily.
“Fine but if anything happens we’re leaving”, he warned.
“Deal it’s just a fair”, I said taking my shoes off and sat cross legged on the seat. He turned the car back on and drove us over to the park where they were holding the fair. We meet everyone else outside and paid our way in and got a big block of tickets. I wanted to go on the ferris wheel but Jared was really reluctant until I climbed into a basket then he gave up. Everyone piled on and Hanson shared a basket with Sandra. Those two were getting close and that cheered me up. The ferris wheel started and we went around. Jared wrapped his arm around me and kissed me on the cheek on the low part. I kissed him on the nose and we started making out. After we got off I sprinted to the cotton candy station racing the other two girls.
“Oh no you don’t sweets weren’t part of the deal”, he said trying to take away my cotton candy.
“It’s more like eating a cloud really”, I said stuffing some in my mouth, “sweets are part of the deal at fairs I had like five cups of orange juice I need to balance things”. He gave me a look when I got a snow cone and a bag of popcorn.
“Alright but no hard candy I don’t need you to choke on them”, he said defeated.
“Want a caramel apple?” I asked eating my snow cone.
“No do you want to try any other rides”, he asked.
“Is the tilt a world here or the bumper cars”, I asked looking around.
“No way, you could hurt yourself and the baby on those we’ll try the carnival games”, he said holding my cotton candy and popcorn. We went to the game and it was the balloon dart game and I paid five dollars and got five darts. I let Jared throw two of them and I threw three. I got all three of mine and he matched me and I got a giant lime green bear. I held onto it and finished my snow cone and we went to the basketball one and I stood off to the side while Jared showed off his skills. He got a big wolf stuffie and we went to the bowling one and I won a snake. I was having fun and Jared was being super protective and sweet. Next we did some more games and won prizes. We went up to the dunk tank and I threw a perfect hit dunking Mr. Yuen. He came out and we talked for a few minutes then I had to run for the bathroom.
“Oh you”, Celia said when I walked out of the stall.
“What do you want?” I asked washing my hands.
“Hello honey”, someone said behind me. I turned around to see Miley standing with…my mom.
“Mom”, Izzy said walking in, “what the hell are you doing here?”
“I have to agree what gives you the right to come back after all this time”, I added.
“I have every right to see my daughters, young lady now your father’s waiting outside we’re leaving”, she said grabbing my arm and Izzy’s.
“Hello no I’ve got a life here Helen and you’re not going to take it away from me”, I said pulling away.
“Jacquelyn your life here is a cover you know you don’t belong here don’t you remember what happened when you were four”, she said trying to pull me outside.
“A light bulb blew up in a nearby lamp post”, I said rolling my eyes.
“Exactly because daddy tried to grab you from behind”, she nodded.
“Mom leave me alone I don’t want a life with you around”, I said trying to walk out.
“You’re dating a werewolf Jacquelyn I thought you knew better”, she said grabbing me and pulling me back.
“I love him mom so just get out of my life”, I said then she slapped me hard over the head.
“They’re our enemies Jacquelyn you don’t love him it’s just part of the façade one you will no longer be taking part in”, she said.
“Mom made we should just let her and Izzy go they aren’t harming anyone”, Miley said unsure.
“Quiet Melinda, Cecelia help me contain them”, she said looking at Celia.
“Mom I don’t like this game let them go”, Celia said stepping back, “I don’t actually want to hurt my sisters”.
“You’re our daughters and you’re part of our coven those boys will live without you”, she said dragging Izzy towards the door.
“We’re not part of a coven now let her go”, I said elbowing her in the face and catching Izzy.
“They’ve already touched you haven’t they the filthy beasts”, she snarled.
“Let us go now or you’ll pay I swear”, I said menacingly.
“We’ll have to see what we can do with the hybrids when they’re born”, she said walking forwards. I pulled Izzy up to her feet and we started taking a step back.
“You girls can come quietly or be dragged”, dad said walking in.
“Go back where you belong”, I hissed keeping the other girls behind me.
“Come on Jacky be a good girl”, mom said coming up closer. I freaked and all of the lights went out in the room.
“Run, run, run girls”, dad whispered close by. I hadn’t no idea what inspired me but I suddenly had an idea. I snapped my fingers and a flame appeared over my hand. I blew on it and it sent the flames out and I saw it hit my mother and father.
“This won’t be the last time you hear from us we can do things to your friends your friend Hanson is just the start”, they said then ran out. I blew out the small flame and clapped my hands and suddenly the lights were on.
“They hit Hanson with the car”, Izzy said shocked.
“It came out of nowhere they saw him playing and rammed him at full speed”, I said looking down at my hand.
“A coven is for witches right”, Celia said confused.
“What are we going to tell everyone?” Miley asked looking at me.
“Nothing”, I said crossing my arms, “we don’t tell them anything yet I’ll tell him our house is having electrical problems and everyone can stay at Jared and Dan’s place until they leave town but neither of you touch Dan or Jared”.
“Alright”, they all agreed. We walked outside and Jared swept me up into his arms.
“Ready to go home”, he asked. I nodded and we left.
