Ever More Chapter 2

Jared's POV

I sat in my new class listening to the teacher talk about anatomy. I already knew everything I needed to know about that. The others were talking with the Norton girls. I already knew them Celia, Izzy, Miley and wait there was someone missing. Where was Jack? Jack was one of the middle sisters and the odd child of the family a total tomboy. She and my brother Daniel had been best friends for as long as I could remember. I knew Dan had missed her like crazy and he practically had his bag packed before my dad finished telling us. I had to admit Jack was interesting but she didn’t really dress like a girl. I’d heard that their parents had skipped town awhile back but the girls seemed fine. “ Wait Jared Carlton you used to go to Kingsley Elementary didn’t you”, one of the girls asked. “ For awhile”, I nodded. “ I remember you and Dan used to be in our classes every year”, another said. If only I could remember who was who. “ Yeah I remember”, I said quickly. “ So how long are you back for”, the first girl said batting her eyelashes. Wait she must be Celia, the one with the crimped hair was Izzy and the one with the curly hair was Miley, yes nailed it. “ So how have you girls been”, I asked curiously. “ Great you?”, Celia said sweetly. “ Good so where’s Jack?”, I asked. “ She’s… shit”, Izzy said. I raised my eyebrows so Miley explained, “ she’s skipping again”. Skipping yeah I knew about that and knowing her she was probably with Dan and her other friends.

The rest of the day passed by in a blur and when the final bell rang and I went outside to wait for Dan. I’d found out he’d missed the last three periods leaving with Hanson and Sandra. I knew the others must have been with him so I decided to wait. The Norton girls were gorgeous now with that blonde hair and blue eyes they all looked like supermodels I wanted to see what Jack looked like. “ Hey bro”, someone said from behind me. I turned around to face Dan who was completely relaxed leaning against the column. “ I heard you skipped three periods dad’s not going to be pleased”, I said automatically. “ Sorry but I was preoccupied”, he said coolly. “ Jack”, I guessed. “ She’s changed a lot”, he said puzzled. “ What has she turned into a girl”, I asked. “ Not even close”, a voice said from behind me. I turned around and saw one of the girls standing behind me. “ Still as jumpy as ever” she snorted. I knew immediately this must be Jack she was the type to snort. “ Nice to see you haven’t changed at all”, I lied. “ Oh come on I’m almost twice as tall not my fault you’re a tree”, she said crossing her arms. I heard Dan snickering behind me and I just shook my head, “ you’re still a pain”. “ You’re right I haven’t changed I like being a kid”, she said sticking her tongue out then grabbed Dan and went over to where the others were waiting. I lied Jack had changed a lot and it wasn’t her height that I noticed first. She was wearing her hair up in a ponytail up as per usual and she wasn’t wearing any makeup but she didn’t need it. Jack was different from her sisters in one way in particular she was desirable.

Jack's POV

I’d officially meet Jared again and I’d been the usual me. He looked handsome as per usual and he was all serious same as before. He had short well kept black hair while Dan’s was longer and messy. They had extremely dark brown eyes they were the most interesting things to look at. I was sitting with my friends under the old oak tree. I remembered stopping them from cutting it down when I was five me and Dan. We’d stayed up in that thing from a week living out of our backpacks. I loved nature and animals like wolves I was weird that way. I could sit in the forest and feel completely safe I loved the outdoors. “ Hey Jack you want to come over tonight”, Dan asked. “ Sure”, I shrugged. We all organized to come over and I promised to dress appropriately for dinner. I loved Dan’s parents but they were rich so I felt obligated to dress up. Dan took the bus home with me and my sisters were continuously trying to flirt with him. When we got home he came up to my room with me and helped me decide what to pack since I was spending the night.

“ So were your sisters always that scary”, he asked playing around with my pillow. “ What do you think”, I said eyebrows raised. “ So what do you think of Jared”, he asked calmly. “ Pompous as per usual”, I said grabbing clothes, “ I’ll be right back”. I went to the bathroom and changed into a short sleeved black blouse and a long white skirt. I pulled my hair down and brushed through it and then went back to my room. “ Do I pass”, I asked spinning around. “ You’re such a girl”, he said then pouted. “ You are so in for it tonight”, I teased. “ Bring it on wild child”, he said then said, “ I heard a honk Reese must be here”. I didn’t hear the honk but I grabbed my bag and followed him anyways. I didn’t have work on Mondays so I was cool I only worked on Thursday, Fridays and Sundays. “ See you guys tomorrow”, I said before I left. “ Where are you going?”, Celia asked.

“ New Zealand bye”, I said then hurried out and Dan and I got into Reese’s car. “ Go, go, go”, I said closing my door seeing my sisters coming outside. I was going to have fun tonight and nothing and no one was going to mess that up.
