3. No Body

Friday

"You have 15 minutes" Mark say then he slammed my door. I struggled getting out of bed because Mark beat me for the food begin so hot.

I walked to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Once I finished I grabbed a black t-shirt and some jeans. I grabbed my converses and put them on.

Today we didn't need our book bags. So I grabbed my two journals and pen and pencil.

I walked out the kitchen where mom stood.

"Have a good day sweetie"

I smiled at her and followed Mark out to the truck.

"Are you going to pick me up?" I asked not looking at him as he pulled out the driveway.

"No"

"But thats a long walk" I almost yelled.

"Did I ask you? I said yo ass walking!" He yelled causing me to finch.

I looked out the window. I watched a group of kids walking by laughing and playing. I wish I was happy like them.

The car stopped and I got out closing the door. I walked into the school and to my locker. I looked in my locker grabbing my English book. I really enjoyed his class.

I walked in. I sat in my original seat which was always in the back. I started sketching. August and Danielle came in and sat in there seat which was on the other side.

"I still have to grade you guys poems to just talk quietly okay?"

We all said okay and I opened my notebook and started drawing. I was beyond happy he said we can do whatever we want we are in his class for at least almost 2 hours. So I had time to finish my writing and drawing.

Everyone at my group got up and left. I stayed there. Someone sat in front of me. I looked up and saw Danielle and then August sat on the other side of me.

"Hey bae" Danielle say smiling at me.

"Hey"

I grew comfortable around them. The were the only thing close to friends that I have here.

"Hey mama" August say.

"Hi" I say turning to him.

"Damn girl can you draw me?" Dani say grabbing my notebook looking at my drawing.

"Um sure" I grabbed it back to finish.

"So what are you doing this weekend?" She asked as she watched me draw.

"Nothing draw and write the usual" I say. "Why?"

"Because me, August, and Donny are going to the movies" She say.

"I don't know, I can't" I say.

Mark would kill me if he see me out. I am not taking a chance.

"Please, pretty please, come on Kehlani" She begged.

I sighed. "Okay, but I can't promise it"

"Yayy" She say as she started doing some kinda dance.

I chuckled a little. I turned to August who had be looking at me this whole time.

"What?"

"Nuttin' jus lookin" He grinned.

I looked down. August and Dani was talking and was arguing on who was better. LeBron or Curry.
