CHAPTER FOUR - AMARU VS. SAQUI, THE FINAL BATTLE
In Sayarumi, Amaru regained the advantage. He saw that the Tobbi were vulnerable when they lifted the tanks and ordered the Gen Zana to fire on his people. They attacked the Patamon when they revealed themselves.
Jumoke saw Amaru hiding like a coward behind his troops. He made his way through the enemy to the general.
"Amaru! End this now!"
Amaru just stood and laughed. "They sent you after me? A peasant boy?"
"Come see what this 'peasant boy' can do." He drew his sword.
"I shall enjoy this. If the almighty Chosen One will not fight me, I have no problem defeating her husband." He drew his sword.
Amaru brought down his sword onto Jumoke. The move was blocked. Back and forth, they exchanged strikes.
Amaru drew Jumoke in close. He gave the king a head butt. Both were startled, but Jumoke was clearly the worse for wear. Taking advantage of this, Amaru recovered and thrust his sword deep into the gut of Jumoke.
The king's sword fell to the ground as he grabbed his abdomen.
"That was too easy," Amaru bragged. "Where is the Chosen One?!"
With his dying breaths, Jumoke muttered, "Be careful what you wish for, coward. She will defeat you again." Having said that, Jumoke breathed his final breath and fell limp to the ground.
"This battle is ours!" Amaru shouted to the troops. "Leave no survivors."
Back at the Palace, Saqui sat on her throne, anxious to hear any news of the war. Suddenly, she heard a voice call, "Young one".
She looked up to see the spirit of her father Liwanu.
"Young one, I have sad news for you. Your husband has been killed in battle."
She fell from her throne and started crying. "How? Who?"
"He died fighting the one who killed me and your friend, Amaru."
When he mentioned that name, all tears stopped. The suns on her back began to glow. Her eyes started to glow. It did not take long before she was glowing from head to toe.
Amaru had taken everyone from her. Her father, her best friend, her mother, and now her husband. She stormed out of the throne room.
She was filled with such a rage that no one dared get in her way. But the Council of Six did.
"Where are you going?" Delsin asked.
"To kill Amaru," she replied.
"You cannot, not in your condition."
"I will not stand idly by while my people are killed. Amaru must pay for what he has done."
Her glow grew brighter, almost blinding. "Do not try to stop me." The Council knew they could not stop her, so they stepped aside.
She put on the items given to her when she faced Amaru the first time. The Tobbi shield. The Lefitray boots. The Patamon tunic under her custom-made armor. The Wuyi helmet. And her sword.
Calling upon all the Spirits, she flew as fast as she could to Sayarumi.
As she approached the village, she was met by planes. The planes held a single pilot. They fired on her, but their bullets did not faze her. She flew through the attack and through the planes, not losing a bit of speed.
