You had just finished a funny movie in your room, you we're laying on your stomach. The lights were off in your bedroom, you had a half full bag of your favorite chips next to you. You munched on a hand full as you went through the channels to find something else good to watch. Aunty had gone out earlier for work, it was pretty quiet in the house except for the normal creaks here and there. It was dark outside now, your window was closed because the air conditioning was on. You had the shades pulled closed.
You had just took a sip from your soda and found a tv show on when there was a soft knock on the door downstairs.
...
You had almost thought it was your imagination. Then another set of taps drifted up to your room. You growled and got up from your bed, you were in another pair of sweats and random shirt you had found, it was pretty baggy, you were bare foot so the soles of your feet slapped across the floor boards. You shuffled down to the front door, you peeked through the peep hole only to see a familiar red hoodie.
Your heart skipped a beat.
You instantly opened the door, you paused.
...
He turned back to look at you. He had his jacket zipped up tight, his hoodie was over his head, a small bush of his black hair peeked out in front. He was also in oversized jeans and a pair of white tennis.
" Y/n....?"
You blinked, the sound of his voice was almost...pained. You were confused, something was wrong. It had only been five days since the ice cream trip with him and he had been so happy. Now here, he was trembling and glancing over to the blue house then back to you.
...
You didn't even need to think, you opened the door and stepped aside.
"In."
He did what you said without a hint of hesitation. You closed and locked it.
"What's going on, Drake?"
You turned around coming face to face with him. You almost gasped but controlled yourself. He was gazing into your eyes.
"Drake."
It was a small warning, his dilated eyes moved down to your lips. He was in a haze....similar to the time you had been in the shower. You stared strongly into his eyes unwavering, funny-your chest felt like a drum, you wondered if he knew. He could probably hear it.
"Babe-"
Drake: "-Y/n....I-...sorry. I just...I couldn't stay in that house. I-I..."
You were silent. Your face was blank looking over his own slowly. You swallowed trying with all your power to not attack him right now. You wanted to kiss....feel...mark his body with painful bites you'd leave on his skin. Although there was another feeling you had...a protective feeling. Your hearing was picking up the hurting pitch in his voice. It was shaking.
He stepped back looking to the floor taking heavy breaths.
"What happened?"
He shook his head side to side.
Your patience was running thin.
Drake: "Nothing. Can I...stay here...just for tonight?"
He pulled his hoodie off his head and ran a hand through his hair.
Drake: "I don't know anywhere else. I don't think they would know. I don't mean to intrude or anything."
"You can stay, my aunt comes home really late anyway, and I think she'd understand."
