Daniel was pacing back and forth.

Athan thought he was about to trek a hole in the polished wood.

The youngest brother was silent, but his jaw was set.

No matter what Daniel said...

I was right...

That lycan could have easily killed me, but she didn't, she set me free.

He had made it back to the mansion in a short amount of time after finding Mathew near a car. He had told Athan they needed to hurry before the other lycans found them.

His leg had mostly healed. His older brother of course was back from whatever meeting he had early. He smelled the blood oozing under his ripped pants leg.

The spicy and sweet scent of you on Athan's neck. It didnt help that his throat was purple. Athan had tried to explain that you had mistook his intentions.

You had thought he was going to kidnap. If only Mathew hadn't attacked you.

Daniel was still fuming, but thankfully most of his anger was focused on the other vampire.

Mathew had reacted without thinking.

Athan was glad though...Daniel didn't  tell father.

Daniel: "....What did she look like?"

The black haired vampire stopped walking staring into the unlit fireplace.

It was an odd question, but the younger brother wanted to calm Daniel down more. He thought better to just go along and answer anything.

Athan: "You're not going to try finding her are you?"

Daniel ran a hand through his hair shaking his head, he turned around toward his sitting brother.

Daniel: "Of course not. She's an alpha. We'd need at least 15 to even the odds. I meant as in how did she look?"

...

Athan smirked, "She was...intriguing. C/r hair. C/r eyes."

Daniel made a sound and walked over to a large window. The shades were removed since it was night. The sky was dark, but you could see a few bright stars.

Daniel, "...Only a night in America and you barely make it home alive."

Athan: "I'm fine. How was your meeting?"

Daniel: "Not as exciting as your night in the town."

Athan looked to the floor not sure what to say.  He knew Daniel was irritated, but he was really fine.

His brother got like this sometimes. Usually they're arguing about something stupid or playing tricks on each other.

One of the reasons father wanted both of them to act their age.

Athan: "Where are the women?"

Daniel: "Lola and Maddie. You will address them by their names Athan." He finally smiled a little before sighing and walked over to an empty leather couch.

Daniel: "They're out. Getting more blood from a contact who works at a hospital near here."

It was quiet and dark in the living room.

The only other living form in the mansion was Mathew and Thomas.

Thomas was in the basement shooting. Athan and Daniel found out there was a gym and shooting range downstairs.
