Chapter 7

It's been three months since I left Hawaii. I haven't talked to Alexis at all but I assume she's probably with Kato now and if she's not she should have came back by now right?

Alexis's POV

"Kato I need to go back I'm sorry.", I say looking for my keys.

"I can help you raise his baby please stay.", Kato cries.

"I'm leaving.",I say sternly.

"Well if you're going I'm going too."

"No stay here. I need to go see him myself. He's my mate."

"Fine. If you go I'm not gonna be here for you when you if you come back."

"I'm not comming back Kato."

"Fine."

I take my keys off the counter and leave. The plane ride seems as if I will never reach the pack house. I spend the night in a motel once I'm in town again. In the morning I trudge to the pack house worn down from jetlag. The house is different now somehow. I knock on the door and Colby's mother Karen answers the door. She pulls me inside and takes me to Robert's office.

"I thought you'd never come back! So much has happened.", she hugged me.

"What, where is Colby? I need to talk to him.", I say leaning against the desk.

"He's fine. They've killed Zane and most of his pack. Robert didn't make it.", Karen says with a dark look on her face.

"I'm so sorry.", I say sitting in the chair.

"Colby should be home soon, you should lie down in his room, he'll be happy to see you."

"Alright thanks Karen."

I go upstairs and sit on the bed. My palms begin to sweat and then I hear his voice down stairs. The door slowly opens and a blonde girl with a pink tank top and booty shorts on comes in.

"Oh! Who are you?", the girl says.

"I'm Alexis.", I say being sassy, "Who are you?"

"I'm Megan."

"Well where is Colby?"

"Downstairs, why are you in his room?"

"Look it doesn't matter can you tell him to come here."

She yells Colby's name and he answers, "What Megan I'm busy!"

"Come here!", she yells out the door.

When he finally comes in the room he pushes Megan out and locks the door. He grabs me and pulls me into a hug.

"I thought you'd never come back.", he says with tears in his eyes.

"Why did you leave Colby? I wanted us to work things out.", I lace my fingers with his.

"I wanted to give you some space, I felt like I was crowding you out. I felt a rift between us."

"I know. I'm sorry, I want you to do it."

"To do what?"

"You never claimed me as yours do it."

"Are you saying that you wanna get back together?"

"Yes."

"See, it's complicated. I love you you're my mate but Megan is crazy.", he whispers.

"I don't care about her, I miss you. Remember we were supposed to get married somewhere in this mess."

"Yes I remember. I just have to make it seem like she's dumping me. So I'm gonna need your help."
