{Chapter 9}

"So you two...are highschool friends?!" She exclaimed.

"Yes" He said coldly.

"Uhhhh so...what's your reason for being here?" She asked in a suspicious look.

"Don't you dare talk or I'll give you bunch of punches" I threatened him.

"Sorry. Yeah, your punch hurts. But she gotta know your whole backstory" He said with a smirk.

"Curse you" I said as I gave him a death glare.

"Would you just stop it you two?! You both look like a couple got lost for years!" She demanded.

"Were not couples and it's been 6 years!" We synced together.

"Ok, that's cute. Just tell me all of the things that.happened!" She yelled.

"I lo---"

"Eheem! Would you guys like some tea? I'll make one" I said as I trie to disturb the discussion. I don't want to remember it all.

"No! Sit down this instance and your gonna join us for some backstory telling" She threatened. I didn't know she was scary when she's angry. It looks like she's gonna eat you or anything.

***

"Oh, so that's what happened" She said in sarcasm and with a smirk plastered on her face. Shiz,  it's like time traveling for stupid reasons.

"Why don't you two just make up then? It's been years anyway. That's past. You need to forget about it even if it's not necessary" She advised as she smiled at us which practically shocked me. She's scary, she's a shop addict, she's like a barbarian, she's my secretary for a whole 10 years that I haven't planned on talking...but really...she gives a great advise.

"Have you ever fallen inlove before?" 0_0 Oh no! Sorry! It just slipped my mouth! >~<

She looked at me seriously, smiled and sat on the couch across us. "Yes. But that's girl talk, he'a a guy. I can't afford him hearing this." She said as she looked at Jonathan.

"Well, I guess I could tell you my whole story. It's a long-short story. You've got no one to tell right?" She asked both of us. We nodded.

"The thing is...this actually happened ten years ago before I could get started working for her. Everything was great, it was going fine believe me. But before I knew...in the middle of the night while I was studying, he called and asked for a cool off. Then after a couple of days he said we should break up. Of course I was hurt like hell. I asked him why but he only said it's for our own good. I even saw a woman standing by his side when I always see him." She explained as she look up to see the pale ceiling of my living room.

"I'm sorry for going this far" I said as I shed tears.

"Nah, it's fine. It's not that a big problem" She said as she looked at us and smiled again.

"Are you still waiting for him?" Jonathan asked out of the blue.

"No,.I wouldn't risk my ten years waiting for that stupid jerk. I got a job and forgot about him that's all. I never ever wanted to remember him again" She said as she looked at him.

"Well, that's about it. Ma'am, I brought your files." She said a she placed the suitcase she was holding earlier.

"Thanks. By the way guys, want some tea?" I asked and they nodded in response.
Maybe my secretary was right. It's time to put the past behind us and start a new one. I kinda like the idea though. That reminds me...

"Hey sec. You could call me Amy now. Scratch out the ma'am, it's kinda old" I said as I peeked in the living room.

"OK! And hey, call me richan! I'm half Japanese by the way" She said in an excited tone.

"I didn't know that" I said with a giggle.

"Ok" I said as I moved away my gaze from them to prepare tea.

What she said is not that bad. "Forget about the past. There's nothing to go back" You'll just end up blaming yourself right? She's got a great point there. We can't let some backstory mistakes make us fall down from the top. That will not be fair. I made up my mind then, I'll continue being his friend.
