"I saw the admiration in your eyes as you watched Ella talking to her friend."

"Just saying what? That I look at her with complete admiration, that I have feelings for her?"
"I'm just saying I've never seen anyone look at someone they don't have feelings for like that."
"Well Dad guess what. I do. But I messed up, I messed up big time. I broke her heart and now she hates me. I thought I liked Sam but I realized that I only went out with her to distract myself from the reality of never getting Ella. I can't just break up with Sam for someone who hates me and won't talk to me."
"She doesn't hate you, Brandon."
"How do you know that? She told me she does. She told me she did the day I broke her heart."
