I woke up on the ground, next to Cato. Today was the last day of the Games. Cato and I win today. We kill everyone; including Katniss and her score of eleven. I shook Cato awake and he opened his eyes. "Cato, we need to move. The others will be at the Cornucopia soon for the feast." I said. He propped himself up on one shoulder, and looked around for tributes. But there weren't any. He grabbed his dagger and I got the knife that was tucked under my arm. I stretched my arms and yawned. After all, it was still sunrise and I'm tired. I hiked with Cato for quite a bit, and we eventually got to the clearing. When we arrived, the girl from 5 was dashing out of the Cornucopia and got her pack. I would have thrown a knife at her back if I weren't too busy wondering how she had gotten that clever idea. I ran out there, but I heard footsteps. I readied my knife, and there was Fire Girl. She was running at me, bow loaded. She shot an arrow at me, and it hit me in the left arm. I pulled it out, in pain. I jumped onto her and wrestled. We rolled, I started stabbing anywhere. Not caring where the knife ended up. In her eye, in her nose, I don't care. As long as it hurts. I finally pinned her on the ground. My buckle shoes were digging into her wrists. "Hey, Fire Girl," I said. I wish I had time to plan a speech. But I can't just sit there; I'm the face on every screen in Panem. She struggled to escape. "Where's Loverboy? Is he waiting for you up in some tree?" I asked. "No, he's out there now, hunting Cato. PEETA!" She screamed. I looked around, making sure she was lying. I cut her cheek as a result for lying. She yelped. "Awe, well guess what? You're dying today, Fire Girl. You're going to die, just like your pathetic little ally did. What was her name? Rue?" I said, acting like I was deep in thought. "Well, we killed her. Now were going to kill you. Where should we start? Your mouth. Yes, definitely. You won't need your lips anymore to kiss Loverboy." I teasingly traced my biggest blade around her lips. I held my knife to her throat. "Time for your fire to burn out," I said. I was about to kill her, when a large arm scooped me off her and pinned me against the Cornucopia. "You killed her? You killed Rue? Huh? DID YOU KILL RUE?" He yelled in my face. N-no. I didn't. It wasn't me! It wasn't m-- CATO!!! CATO!!!" I screamed so loud the whole arena can probably hear me. Before I could say anything else, Thresh grabbed a huge rock and hit me in the temple really hard. I fell to the ground, my eyes and mouth open. Cato came rushing to my side, holding a spear. "No, Clove! Don't die on me!" He pleaded. I could feel the life drain from my body. My light, pretty chocolate eyes would soon be lifeless. They wouldn't mean a thing. But to Cato, they mean...the first time we spent together. "C'mon Clove, it was only a rock. You can stay with me! Don't go!" He pleaded. But it was no use; I'm dying. Who was I to think I would ever make it out of here alive? Once I thought I had a shot at winning, that was taken from me. Just like my family was taken from me. I never see them again. I never will. I will remember them until the day I die...oh wait, it's today. I was hoping to grow old in District 2, having prune juice with every meal. Being able to not worry about being chosen for the Reapings. But this is changing. I grabbed Cato's arm. "You have to win," I whispered. It took every bit of strength I had left to say that. By my surprise, I pulled him in for a kiss. My first kiss. Probably not his first kiss. He's attractive, I'm...Clove.
