Sam had taken Castiel and (Y/N) back to the bunker, negative thoughts constricting him. He just couldn't grasp the idea of Dean being a demon. Had (Y/N) lied? Maybe she's seeing things? Yes. That had to be it, she had merely missed Dean so much that she'd envisioned him.
This is his brother, his family. Granted, (Y/N) was the little sister he never had, but Dean is his last blood family.
